  1. And so it begins... private tentacles reaching into the public trough.
  2. For you it may be more distracting and less productive, but for many it is more productive to work from home. Not as many chatty Cathy/talky Ted types interrupting all day.
  3. A little bit touchy, are we? I'm not real fond of our government employees using their positions to get favorable treatment, which is what happened in her case. But if you're OK with it, great. Rock on. You do you, hoss.
  4. I thought I recognized that name from somewhere... https://www.texasmonthly.com/the-daily-post/there-is-video-of-the-dwi-stop-of-district-appeals-court-judge-nora-longoria-after-all/

    Where Am I?

Looks kind of like Fifth Ward Jam
  6. Chacun à son goût, but I can't fathom paying $1.2 million and having neighbors that close to me.

  14. Why would they move? They have been there for more than 100 years, IIRC. That grass field is a welcome respite from a sea of concrete. Sometimes it's nice for kids to have a safe, grassy place to run around.
  15. They were just enjoying the walkability of the neighborhood.
  16. This project would have been forward-thinking in the 70s. Now? Boondoggle. Just my opinion, and I realize I may be the only person with such an opinion. So be it.
  17. No. Terrible idea for a vanity project. If they had been allowed to put it down the I-45 corridor, fine, no additional land sacrificed.
  18. Hope landowners stick to their guns and don't let it happen. Or, get a billion an acre.
