  1. I think a long term rentals will likely be allowed for a small percentage of the units but I doubt short term rentals are allowed.

  3. Yes, I agree with you. I've never seen that before from above. Have only previously admired it from JLL parking lot.
  4. Haven't seen this style project in Houston before. Looks like something out of Chicago.
  5. Looks like they used some old information. It's not 42 stories and there is no office component.
  6. Was that you on the motorbike? I drove by there around 4 and saw someone touring. . My first time there since it was a just cleared field and they've really transformed it.

  9. I think it's already been dimmed. Doesn't seem as bright as it was previously when it was first brought up in this thread.

  11. I'm glad this project is not just one block or even a few blocks close together but something much bigger. That being said, I'm not sure how this will work with quite a few blocks in between them that are not part of the project? I assume they're just hoping that future development will be spurred because of them?
  12. Most of the blocks are contiguous but the other few are a few blocks over. How do you have an entertainment district split up?
  13. I was told that the Residence is around 84% sold now with TCO for floors 16-24 and moving on up. More than a dozen closings have happened with a handful of residents actually living onsite now.
  14. I guess the Paper City Mag link is correct. I went to the Thompson Houston hotel website and it now says Important Notice Opening December 21, 2023

  16. It's a condo so I assume if it will bother the owners enough they'll get the HOA to dial it down.
  17. It's a good time to do this type of work that doesn't cost a lot of money while you wait for the construction capital markets to get better.
  18. I was told that eventually an acre of that parking lot be converted into a green space/park that sits between the current pavilion and the future mixed-use that will be built in the back where the sales center is currently.
  19. It's nice to see some positive comments. So many cynical comments all the time on HAIF.
