  1. wants to know what happened to red??

  2. I had horrible service in 77007. Mail would only come 3 times a week and when it did it was wrapped in a big rubber band so it was pretty clear they were just stock piling it in the mail truck bc they were too lazy to come down to my part of the street unless they wanted a taco. Over here in 77018 the delivery is bliss. Every morning by 10 AM. I keep asking myself why I didnt move to oak forest sooner?
  3. thanks... if there is no beer for my man I am going to be a very unhappy lady.
  4. I know where they are tapping a keg this afternoon. Cant tell you yet bc there needs to be some left for my bf when he gets off work!
  5. We ate at the Broken Spoke off washington this past weekend. I highly recomend it. Staff and service were great. it is BYOB right now but they are working on getting a beer and wine permit.
  6. yep... they all live by the galleria.. in some old ass condos that are now for rent. OR they live in pearland. that is why they park their big ass trucks and block my driveway. sorry about all the ass in this comment.. ive had a few beverages. btw haifers who do I need to call to get someone to tow a car that is blocking my driveway?
  7. The band that is playing saturday night is Honeybrowne. Great texas country band out of Austin. I think they go on at 7. They are playing in an area called the garden that is new this year. Sounds more geared to the general public.
  8. My question is -- who is going to be stupid enough to buy the White Label townhouses right next door to Reign? They are like 15 feet away. Could you imagine?
  9. I have had the pleasure of meeting with the owners. They are great folks... local to the heights. EVen though they live in a townhome. I think the original plan was to do a good deal of catering which clearly never got off the ground. Im sad to see that the place failed. Good people.
  10. You are right indeed! My memory didnt serve me as well as I thought it did.
  11. The hydra was the slide with the blue tubes that you went thru. It would get so hot in there during the summer it was hard to breathe. I LIVED at Splashtown every summer when I was a kid. Thanks for the memories!
  12. I have a secret confession. I STILL get my hair done at the visible changes in greenspoint mall. I grew up in the Woodlands in the early 80s and back then Greenshpoint was the only place to shop near by. It was also a damn cool mall. You guys forgot the Units store! Oh how I loved Units!! Or were they Multiples? Either way .... memories... forgot to add, that the same woman has been doing my hair for the last 16 years. that is the ONLY reason I still go to Greenspoint.
  13. I happen to like the train. Let me rephrase that, I happen to like the sound of the train. I despise the train when I get stuck at it. Which happens at least 3 times a week.
  14. I agree that the north side of Washington still has a way to go. There are many more tear downs over there than what we have in our neighboorhood. I had a VERY scary house next to mine that was torn down about 9 months ago. Has made a major difference in the folks who hang out in the area. However, it doesnt seem to me that HPD really cares. I have called twice about gun shots and never had any follow up....
  15. I cant believe no one has mentioned the life forms townhomes! There are some across the street from wilkerson int. I think the subdivision is called the Arbors. My family moved to the woodlands in '83. They have always been my favorite townhomes. THEY HAVE TREES! and beautiful porches. I currently live in a 1920s bungalow in the heights.. if I was ever to move back to the woods it would be to a life form home absolutley. Scott Mitchell was the son of George and he did the majority of the design for life forms. You can also find alot of his work in the North Millbend area. I think the Lazy Lane houses were his as well.
  16. I DO live in this area. Off Washington inbetween Shepard and Studemont. I am very close to Pearl bar, but on the south side of Washington. I live super close to Washington and can say that right in that area it is shady. I have a iron gate that is always closed. I have come home to find people in my yard, folks have knocked on my door and asked for change etc. I have not expereinced any property crime... however, I get nervous when by boyfriend is not in town. If I was a single gal, I would not be living there. With THAT said, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my home, and the neighborhood really has improved in the last 4 years. The particular park you speak of usually has a bunch of homeless folks snoozing on benches. And I have personally seen a drug deal go down there.. however, since the corner store has closed alot of the CRIME has stopped. Someone was car jacked at knifepoint right at the RR tracks and patterson last year. Hope I can be of some help... If you have any more questions feel free to ask!
