Some of the laminate is peeling back and you can see the true color of the facade. A slightly less intense blue. It looks good..
I think it is a lot less intense of blue. Looks great though

"GreenStreet is nearing the end of its renovations—the team tells us the last finishing details are the large fountains that will anchor each side of the property (Main/Dallas and Caroline/Dallas). The Lawn is complete—pictured, it will soon house events like outdoor movies. Midway also plans to break ground on the stylish Hotel Alessandra (225 keys, 25 stories) this fall."
So does this mean that they aren't going to be making any exterior improvements?

I don't know if anyone else has been watching but Chris Carter is absolutely on fire... and honestly after the 200+ strike outs last year I am surprised to be saying that. I'm turning into a believer!

And HAIF is back up!
I'm really glad it is back up, but I must say, I am surprised we still have the Christmas tree HAIF "A" still going in the middle of July.
I guess I can get down with Christmas in July

Will they be able to have the signage on top like in the rendering or would that be omitted similar to the Embassy Suites "E"?

But another reason the dome replica works so well is that the remaining columns make up a circle, and so is this replica. Anything other than a round shaped building I think would look make the entire area awkward.
To my knowledge there plan is to destroy the entire structure and recreate the columns that looked like the original columns. If they had decided to keep the original columns, I would like the idea more.

Red, white and blue lights. I like the touch to add just a little flare to the skyline. Great photo infinite_jim!
I'm guessing this might only be temporary for the 4th of July.

Carter and Singleton have their first grand slams in the same game Sunday night! Last time the Astros hit two grand slams in the same game was July 30th 1969!
Astros now 29-36 for the season

I really like it. I hope it comes out looking something like that.

On this note, with the ban on propane lifted in the downtown area, the influx of food truck potential will have a nice effect on these areas during events and game days
