BCO & HTXO 12th Annual Haunted Hike October 31, 2019 - 6 PM - 9 PM Meet at Memorial Park near the rugby/soccer field parking lot N Picnic LN - South side of Memorial (map link at www.bayoucityoutdoors.com) Get your spook on with BCO & HTXO as we slither our way through the deep, dark forest trails. 6. Little Library Bike Ride with BCO & HTXO September 22, 2019 – 9 am to 12 pm Meet at Onion Creek 3106 White Oak Dr., Houston, TX 77007 Have you seen those little libraries popping up all over town? It’s such a cool concept that we thought it would be fun to bike ride to a few and add some books! Bring a book to donate to the libraries. The book doesn’t have to be new so you can hit up any local used book store or pick something off your ‘dusty’ book shelf. We’ll also do a fun little game to see if any else brought the same book as you. NOTE: If we end up having more books than we can fill libraries, BCO will drive around town and fill the rest of the libraries with the remaining books! Bring your bike and helmet. No musics please. No pulling kids in stroller bikes. No riding on handle bars. We practice bike safety to keep you safe. You’ll need either a basket or a bookbag to carry your book! No bike? No worries! Houston has great rental options. Choose from:   B-Cycle Kiosk: Looking for the quickest rental option? B-Cycle allows you to rent via mobile app. There are many stations around town to pick up and drop off your rental. Check their map and pricing options information here: http://houston.bcycle.com.   BCO & HTXO Member Gear: If you are a member of Bayou City Outdoors and do not have a bike, we can loan you a bike for the ride; however, you MUST call the office 1 to 2 weeks in advance to arrange for the loaner bike.   Where to Meet: Onion Creek, 3106 White Oak Dr., Houston, TX 77007. BCO & HTXO present A Walk in the Woods Aka Hiking Houston June 15, 2019 Meet at 8:30 AM, start 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM Meet at Memorial Park Rugby Field Parking Lot N Picnic Lane Houston, TX 77007 Memorial Park, known as the Central Park of H-town, is an amazing 1,466-acre park (one of the largest in the county) right inside the loop! Trails are a mix of hard packed dirt, sand, trees and tree roots. It is wooded and wild in the middle of the city!
