From a map of SCR, this community is centrally located and is within Clear Lake Loop road. Some of the surrounding communities are Crescent Landing, Crystal Lake, The Gables, and Reflection Pointe.

I was looking at a listing on HAR for this gated community and noticed several others as well. Why are there so many homes for sales in this community? Is there something I don't know about?

Sorry to hear about your nightmare. Your story and that of others is the main reason why I'm a bit hesitant about going the custom route. I just hope you were able to resolve everything to be able to live happily in your dream home. When my co-worker was building her custom home, she drove almost daily after work to inspect it for peace of mind. She said it was a pain and stressful, but would have not done it any other way. In the end, she was very happy. If you can, can you tell me what kind of questions I need to ask the builders? Any builders you would recommend? That house by A&M is AMAZING! Love to see more homes like this one. Thanks

felamy, Thanks! Your posting is exactly what I was hoping to hear from people. I do agree the double staircases and layout are what really we love about this floorplan. It's too bad SCR is the only development in Pearland for Westport. One option my wife and I have discussed is buying a lot and custom build our house. However, we have heard from a few people that this can be a headache. It's the reason why our preferred route is to go with Westport. Was your house built from a builder like Westport or a custom builder like PIB (Partners in Building)? Thanks

Hi, I have been lurking on this forum for a couple of months now. I have gained so much information from the many informative threads on here, something I will keep doing on this forum. However, I have not found many posts about Westport homes. We are interested in one of their developments in Shadow Creek. Does anyone has any experience with this builder? We have looked at that this one on har and thought it was a beautiful home. http://search.har.com/engine/dispSearch.cf...mp;backButton=Y The county appraised it at $511K, but the builder is listing it for $750K. We are taking our time this time around and want to do our homework thoroughly before deciding on anything. Thanks
