Would you prefer it to be dark at night? The Empire State Building has lighting. Dallas' tallest building has lighting. Los Angeles' tallest building has lighting. I guess that's how I figure. My opinion. Just sayin'...

Yeah, that's the first thing I noticed driving in early this morning. Chase's blue LED lights. It is only fitting that one of the tallest buildings in America have lighting at the top.

Good news, indeed. I was at my dr.'s office, looking out the window, and I noticed the crane over there. I did not know this was the site for Asia House, but I am extremely delighted that it is underway. Of course, I find out what is going on over there on HAIF. Cool.

Here' the full story link from the Chron. Chronicle In an e-mail to faculty, Butler said the temporary suspension buys time to acquire additional capital through philanthropy, federal funds and other sources, gives the markets a chance to settle and provides an opportunity to consider project partners. Sources said that by not building out the interior, it

I drove in this morning and low and behold JP Chase Morgan Tower and Enterprise Tower sport brand new red lighting at the top. I really like this lighting. Did anyone else see downtown before sunrise today?

Good news. Houston Pavilions office tower gets its first lease. HP -
Let's see ... it is 36 degrees outside and drizzling with a biting cold wind. I parked underground and walked to my office through the tunnel system. Grabbed breakfast and all this with a light jacket. Back in August when it was stifling hot, the tunnel system was a cool retreat. I'd say Houston is the perfect city for the tunnel system. Glad to have it. Plus all those pedestrians on the streets with no tunnel system would make traffic downtown horrible. Thumbs up to the tunnels.

Thanks for the pics. I love this tower as well as the location. I am playing the lottery just in case ... I could be one of the new tenants.

The Rockets were really good last night. If -- and that's a little word but oh so large -- the Rockets stay healthy, can you imagine how good they can become? I'm definitely pumped for this season. Artest was such a great addition to the team. Get Red!!!

I noticed the new lighting on my way in this morning. Very cool. Much better than the blue.

This project has my vote. More diversity in Houston's workplace and putting Texas on the map for the movie industry works for me. Of course, saving the Dome is the most important.

It may officially open 10/16 but Spring is more realistic for a true picture of what this will become. I walked around a few minutes ago and it is really cool. I think when they light up those circular skywalks, that will be really spectacular. I am far more optimistic about HP because HOB and Lucky Strike will be two venues that draw people in. Of course the restaurants are going to be great as well and we all know downtown needs a real nice bookstore. -
Check this out from HBJ. The Tiffany & Co. Foundation has granted three organizations, including the Hermann Park Conservancy in Houston, $2.75 million for restoration of parks and gardens. Hermann Park will receive $1 million to build The Tiffany & Co. Foundation Bridge at Lake Plaza. The bridge will have an arched design and serve as a focal point of the park and plaza. Lake Plaza, currently under construction, is a LEED certified project. It is expected to be completed in March. Hermann Park Bridge
