    Does anyone know what is going up at the northwest corner of Woodwind and W. Bellfort, directly across the street from St. George's Church? It used to be a small private school, bu the lot was cleared a year or two ago. They recently began laying underground sewage and plumbing. Anyone? Google maps

    the old Burger King is the very same building which now holds CiCi's Pizza....it was a Dairy Queen for while as well....I am willing to bet there is some serious built up grime in that building...all those years of fast food cooking......

    I recall the best of times: an nut job blowing himself up at Poe Elementary, and taking his son and several others with him...the namesake of your elementary schoolthe police digging up the bodies of 27 boys from a boat storage shed off Hiram Clark...they were runaways back then, not missing and exploited childrencolored only waiting rooms in the Medical Towers Buildingmy elementary school principal welcoming the new darkie children to our school good times indeed, time to take off the rose colored glassed and take a sip of your 4 dollar mocha latte.... it wasn't better, the news cycles were just slower

    Marini's Empanade House, the original Harlow's (pre Landry's), Spud-u-Like..they sold a baked potato the size of a damned football! I know it says ten, but the late 70's and early 80's were kinda hazy for me....I vaguely remember all the clubs switching from disco or fern bars to pseudo cowboy joints....and I think I had a motorcycle then .....

    I have lived on Willowbend almost exclusively since 1974. Willow Meadows, Willowbend, and Post Oak Manor are great neighborhoods. There are lots of us (grew up here, living in the ancestral home, or moved back into the old neighborhood) here. Drive by Willow Park on Cliffwood on a nice afternoon and see all the kids. What you get here is a good value in a home and location that CANNOT BE BEAT! In fact, welcome to the neighborhood!

    I live close to Meyer Park as well, and I have general rule, if I can get in and out of that Wal Mart by 10 AM it is cool, after that, drive to Pearland

    I grew up in the neighborhood, going as far back as calling that area Meyer's Woods rather than Meyer Park, and all I can say is: after the way AMC let that location denigrate - not RIP, but GOOD RIDDANCE

    I can certainly attest to the existence of foundation "issues" in 77035....may god bless Willowbend, and keep our foundations level and our walls free from cracks!
