If I had to guess, maybe some coordination issues? Its a private installation over a public right-of-way and now over public transit infrastructure, so it might be a discussion regarding that. I have no clue btw. Just a hunch.
It's crazy that it's taken this long though. The project has been finished close to 3 years now.

I saw this video posted recently to Youtube:
MARTA (Atlanta) video covering the Boulevard Project
thought it was interesting. Nothing we didn’t already know, but kinda neat to see.
Cool video!

Hi all! I have been begging for a www.houstonbcycle.com location in Uptown for awhile now and of course just on or off Post Oak Blvd was the desired location...and lo and behold they have installed one now at 1500 Post Oak Blvd in front of the BHP building! Last night they had both regular bikes and e-bikes at the location. Just thought i would let everyone know!
Man what the hell is going on with the floating rings I'm wondering when they're gonna hang them back up. .

Probably. It's one of those lame "Studies" that requires a lot of digging to figure out it actually says. My understanding is that it uses an expansive (and rather illogical) definition of downtown Houston. Who knows how they defined "downtown" in the other cities?
Yeah makes sense!

How does Atlanta rank 1st? They have to be counting Midtown Atlanta with Downtown Atlanta. 🤔

There's a Hanover Montrose looking building behind the tallest building in one rendering, but not in the site map rendering.
I've noticed that for a long time in the renderings it looks like the Montrose building.

Do these oak trees tear up sidewalks and roads because they weren't correctly planted back in the day? And wouldn't the Post oaks on Post Oak Boulevard do the same one day once they got bigger?

Went to Post the other day on Tuesday and it was packed. Also, went last week and they had a "market" going on; local artists were selling their pieces and a local singer was performing . Some days they have yoga on the roof. They host numerous events. Im so glad Houston now has a community space outside of the traditional "Galleria mall." Let's admit it, when guests come in from out of town, the galleria was the only urban community space we could take them to. Discovery green is nice, but its just a park. We desperately needed this project, can't wait to see what they have in store once they're complete.
Side note, don't get me wrong, I love the Galleria. However, I hate the idea that a mall is the first place many Houstonians take their guests in the 4th largest city in America. That feels like a mid-size/ small-size city problem.
It's almost a staple where people bring out of towners now. I'm really curious what they are gonna do with the parking lots!

Momentum Porsche? Momentum Porsche is now Porsche River Oaks and is located at I-69 and Greenbriar.
I know. I was referring to the old name. I'm wondering what's going in the old spot.

It's amazing how far we've come. I was walking to the train from an Astros game and I saw a group of young kids, probably in their early 20's, walking the same direction. I overheard their conversation, basically they felt like they were in a big city, and the vibe felt very urban. Just a few years ago nothing was really surrounding the ballpark but all of the investment is paying off. Downtown is getting so large and dense, it's really becoming a hub of activity the way it should be. I expect this tower and the other two that are planned to help spur the retail district around W Dallas.

We went to a game recently and took the purple/greenline and were talking to some older folks who grew up in Houston but moved away. They were astounded by how different (in a good way) that whole area was. They told me about riding their bikes as kids in the neighborhoods around TMC, and when I told them about Bayou Greenways, they were really excited. They were really nice! (Even if they were rooting for the wrong team! 🙄)
Yeah it's a great vibe downtown on gameday it's great seeing all the orange around and I give Jim Crane a lot of credit.

I might be in the minority but I drove by this thing the other day and it has a huge presence but in a good way! I think it's a great addition to that part of Midtown. At least it has ground floor retail and it fills up a neighborhood block. And looking at the concept it there will be some great things to fill the other blocks around it.

I have a friend who lives in the suburbs who called Kirby Dr. at Westheimer downtown when I asked which restaurant they went to over a weekend. Another one who recently started at Methodist in TMC, took some pics and sent them to me, I asked where, he said downtown. Most people that live outside the loop consider everything in it downtown and don't know anything regarding neighborhoods.
When I worked in Laporte/Deer Park years ago I had a coworker tell me "🤠 hell all that stuff over there is downtown" meaning everything inside the loop 🤦🏽♂️

That Wienerschnitzel on John Stockbauer is cursed. At least for me. I've tried to go there when I've stayed in town overnight over the past few years and each time I get to the drive-thru, their computers are conveniently down. The one on Laurent & Rio Grande always comes through for me though.
That's funny but not funny sounds like go ol Victoria .

I'll have to stop there the next time I'm heading to Corpus or Rockport. I saw one in Dallas about 5 or 6 years ago. I don't know if it's still there.
They also have Wienerschnitzel down there as well. I think I'm spelling it right. It's weird because last time I was in the Dallas area they had Grandy's and Wienerschnitzel in Houston has neither but Victoria has both ..

Sorry if this has already been answered but will Richmond be rebuilt and on the other BRT routes planned are the streets being rebuilt or is it as needed?
