It was sold to Hi Tech Auto Realty in February 2022. That entity is managed by Ricardo M Weitz, who seems to have been associated with Momentum. In March 2022, there is a deed of trust to Cadence Bank and a trustee Charles J Pignuolo with a $192 million  mortgage and a 20 page list of properties that includes Baytown Nissan, Central Houston Nissan, the Kirby Mansion, David McDavid Nissan, as well as properties in Williamson and Travis counties I can't be bothered to go look for.

It's all on the County Clerk's website.

Ricardo Weitz use to own the Momentum Auto Group until it was sold to Sonic Automotive in the mid 2000s.

Well the Ballpark Village has to be a "go" now, and I hope this season made it easier to select the "Rolls Royce" option!  Sounds like Crane can finance a good chunk of it with weekend t-shirt sales!

Man I've been thinking the same! How many lots does he own again?

  3. It seems like the older this ballpark gets the better it gets I was looking at photos of the new ballpark in Arlington it's nice but it seems kinda sterile. I also like the glass that lets in all the natural lighting in the outfield. I think our ballpark has a lot character and is turning into a classic in my opinion.

This might be a dumb question. But is downtown Houston the only major city that has pull in parking you usually see that in smaller cities?

Sure looks like it almost has to be.  But they clearly have the location address wrong.  I've noticed before that these TDLR permits very often have errors or misstatements in them...

Hospitality, Inc. is the record owner of the Landry's warehouse at the Loop and I-10 (7310 Old Katy Rd) that was recently discussed in the other thread.  Interesting that Tilman is apparently going to renovate his existing warehouse building in to a practice facility.

my first thought (and prayer) would be that he just goes ahead and purchases that dang Post Oak Corner and finally builds on that!!!

    i mean come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 💀

Someone on City Data last week said it could possibly be by his warehouse.

Toronto's high-rise building scene is one of the best in the world. I prefer their designs and developments over NYC and Chicago.  Kinda reminds me of Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane skylines.

Maldive over at SSP keeps the native Toronto Highrise Development thread very active. The buildings proposed and under construction are stunning.  Wish Houston (Uptown/TMC) would build like this.

I noticed the downtown information kiosk are now in the Texas Medical Center.  Are there anymore around or is there only one at Fannin & Dryden?

Kinda cool. Great for pedestrian activity! Lots of walking in that area.

To be honest, they should have went with a TMC skyline for their background. Use some originality, given it's located in such a special place. I've noticed this before. A global company would display Houston skylines/buildings but would omit the TMC skyline. There's nothing else like it, and the TMC powers some of the Houston economy.

Those things are popping up in a lot of neighborhoods in Houston I like them!

This project will have to be spectacular if MPR Consultants want to atone for their neglect of this lot, which seems to indicate an indifference (at best) for its neighbors and the neighborhood in general.

Tbh it is underwhelming. Good thing there’s a lawn there, too, since it could be a good place for kids to run around when there aren’t events.

though when I was a kid I played on anything and everything

Well I'll say it again. Hopefully they'll get the parking lot one day!

I think this concept will end up working well here.

Houston has lots of younger people moving here for work, many of them just out of college, so a setup like this could be attractive while they’re getting their jobs and beginning their lives out of school. It could also be a nice option for our many full-time service industry workers, if the price is right. If my math isn’t wrong- and I’m no math savant- these units will probably go for about $1k/month or thereabouts.

Everywhere is getting a CoL increase thanks to inflation. Luckily Houston will remain more affordable than many other metros because we aren’t collectively allergic to building more housing 🙃

I can see people snatching these up quick with those prices!

I believe the entire line will end up with a dedicated lane just for the BRT line, so almost all of it will need to be rebuilt.

If you watch this video it will show you what the configuration is currently planned as:

Yes, all the roads and sidewalks along the BRT corridor will be rebuilt.

    Thanks appreciate the responses!
