  1. The only thing I feel right now is a continuous and unrelenting lump in my throat as vague memories come flooding back
  2. I dont like how, if you want to cross it instead of walking around the block, you pretty much are forced to walk to the end of the block to access the diagonal entreances. And if you walked that, you might as well just walk around the block. I like the layout of Bryant Park in Manhattan: it invites you in. And from within, you can go in all directions.
  3. I think it is a substantial improvement on what was there before. I like that it is accessible, unlike the current format of Market Square.
  4. Whatever happend to the Kareoke bar that was supposed to be across Grasshopper, next to Suade?
  5. I think this better ilicits the sound you're looking for: doy-doink!
  6. The barbacoa mentioned above is real good, very lean, with hardly any remnants or pieces of brain in it.
  7. My personal favorites: Fajitas: Ninfas on Navigation, Taqueria Los Mexicanos (truck) on Harrisburg Enchiladas typo Mexicana: Aquascalientes on Edgebrook Breakfast: Taqueria Alacran on Harrisburg Barbacoa: Taqueria Taconmadre on Edgebrook Micheladas: Mariachis on NASA Rd. 1 Shrimp Cocktail: Cancun
  8. You get toe see too? I thought I was the only one who got toe see.
  9. There are venues in downtown where you will find plenty of 40's and 50's vintage humans. Some have even been sighted with beer and woman.
  10. The green bus is non other than another Taconmadre, like the Taconmadre "green bus" on Edgebrook. It's the same people, and presumably, the same food.
  11. Did you go to the truck or the sit-down restaurant? Just curious. The food between the 2 seems to be identical and consistent. Of course the sit down version can offer plates and other dinners that the taco truck doesn
  12. I agree with Ricco about Ninfa's on Navigation: Simply Awesome. (How's THAT for damage control and ass-suck). This is more southeast Houston rather than east. But let me tell you about my own neck of the woods: Edgebrook. within the 1/4 mile stretch from Gulf Freeway to Theta Street, are: 1. Taqueria Taconmadre - the taco truck, right side 24-hrs 2. Taqueria Taconmadre - the sit-down restaurant version, left side, 24hrs. 3. Taqueria Aguascalientes 4. Caserez Mexican Restaurant 5. Taqueria La Jalisiense 6. The Taco truck on the left side, next to the church, Thur. - Sat. 7. The Taco truck on the right side, next to the transmission shop 8. Taqueria Arandas, northbound feeder at Edgebrook
  13. ____!! I just read Ricco's post! Sorry man! I didnt mean to be so brutal on one of your favorite places! I hope you can forgive me, esse.
  14. What to avoide: El Jardin. Man, what a giant dissapointment. We frequent a small indoor taqueria right across Harrisburg from el Jardin. And we finally said "Lets try that place instead". It had great atmosphere, very traditional looks, etc. The food sucked. I guess if you like things bland, then the place is ok.
  15. I love the way these threads transformicate so lovingly and naturally. I love woman.
  16. I kinda agree with you there: I stayed at the Waldof=Astoria about 2 years ago and I was "ok" with it. Granted, it was the basic of basics of a room. Of course the lobby was awesome and all the shops were great. But I left with the idea that I would have enjoyed staying at the Milford Plaza, as we did just one month before, and be close to Broadway, Times Square, and all that. It was actually kinda dead around the Waldorf at night. This past Christmas we stayed at the downtown Houston Hyatt after the company party, and I remember thinking it was a lot more hotel and quality for the money.
