  1. he's actually very nice....esp if his grandson is running the credit card machine.....you'd be amazed. if you're a wimp you should perhaps stay clear.
  2. i gotta add taqueria mexico to the list. last nite i was forced to go to la mexicana and ordered chorizo. i think it was 7.99. tonight went to taqueria mexico and ordered the chorizo again. it was way better as was the salsa and it was 3something.
  3. i believe the story is the one who killed the txdot worker was an aramark employee who was drunk with freebee drinks. at least that's how 13's story was last nite.
  4. to be honest i don't remember. they do have various sizes though. i know i didn't get the small one but think i got the next size up and it was enough for two people. maybe crunch would remember.

  6. i like the term "workforce housing units". guess that's because low income, subsidized housing gives a bad connotation.

  8. With the significant foreclosure rate in some of the buildings probably not much if any.
  9. drive around the neighborhood, they defintiely aren't getting special consideration. other businesses along fairview do the same thing. i'm getting union bar flashbacks.

  14. a judge won't let that one go. they'll give you a 5 min break.
  15. most business owners were adamantly against metered parking, esp on slower periods like weekend days. just yet another reason not to go downtown. there was also talk in the last 6 months or so to lengthen period til later in the evening weekdays to which many businesses owners said no esp because of the two hr limit implemented in the last yr or so. it makes it difficult for people to have dinner and some drinks somewhere without having to worry about moving your car.
  16. with the city having to float >20million in bonds to meet their current retirement obligations, not sure a proposal such as yours would be achievable currently. there are still proposals out there to start charging for parking on sunday downtown according to a couple of business owners i know.
  17. everyone NEEDS to see this. it is a great movie. i wish i could say more however i would be edited.
