Man I really wish rich people had better taste.

    HAHA...

the funny part is when looking at the fireplace photo i was like dang they definitely have a spider problem...but then i realized that is marble and not cobwebs 🕷️🕸️ 🤪

and the furniture isn't the best in that photo...and apparently bored rich people just sit in chairs that face each other and have staring contests all day...and a little ugly ottoman thingy for their cat 🐈‍⬛ ...of course

  2. Hi all! I have been begging for a www.houstonbcycle.com location in Uptown for awhile now and of course just on or off Post Oak Blvd was the desired location...and lo and behold they have installed one now at 1500 Post Oak Blvd in front of the BHP building! Last night they had both regular bikes and e-bikes at the location. Just thought i would let everyone know!

  4. so does anyone know, will there be some sort of renovation to the facade of the T Mobile store to make this all blend together? In the photo above you see the buildings are connected so i am hoping this will be the case...

  5. So my best friend released a new single yesterday and he makes a fun mention of Numbers without saying the name:

"You lived next to the club down off Montrose Street
We could listen to The Pixies from your bedroom suite..."

now he says on/off Montrose Street but obviously it was harder to say Westheimer in the song haha...plus it's an ode to Montrose in general which was our hangout area back in the late 90's and beyond. Oh and yep, his band Blue October used to play at Numbers as well! (He graduated from the Houston High School Of Performing and Visual Arts btw)

anyway...love the new song "Where did you go I'm less of a mess these days" (love that title haha).

Check it out on all streaming platforms and YouTube :)

  6. in major developments, the Burger King in the food court opened this week 🤪... haha

from what i understand, Sugar Factory Express will be opening in late October/early November...we shall see!

"National dessert chain Sugar Factory will launch its quick-service “express” outpost at 5015 Westheimer Road in the Galleria area early this fall. Marking its second location in Texas, the celebrity-endorsed restaurant will offer its combo of “sweets, treats, and eats,” including smoking goblets and colorful, over-the-top dessert concoctions."

  7. wow that is surprising...

i remember when Cuchara opened the reviews were not good and people had said it was overpriced? has that changed? haha

someone let me know if i have been missing out on an awesome place!

(ps...i do like Max's weekend brunch so i have been there quite a bit)

  8. okay,

DESPITE all the news lately about cinemas (and Regal included)

a buddy and i went to the Regal Cinema (Marq*e) and they are more than halfway through with this INCREDIBLE complete remodel (as mentioned on my last post)...it really is AMAZING!!! new EVERYTHING...floors, ceilings, lighting, tons of these cool video screens that line up along the walls showing trailers/movie posters etc...AND all new screens and awesome seating that is way more comfortable!!! loved it! (and they had this cool little hang out area as well)

Having the Regal Unlimited card, i cannot wait to go back...bye bye Weslayan location!

(they said the renovation should be completed soon as it looks to be about 75 percent done!)

  9. yes it really does look amazing!

i am wondering if i missed a timeline on when they will reopen the "real" and new concrete pathway that connects the running center to the picnic loop... i see they have the new winding and super cool pathway ready to go it seems however they are still working on the whole south side of the tunnels creating a large grass area that goes up to the tunnel hills. It also has a large drainage? rock way "stream" like feature that runs through it. I have seen all the work going on as i ride my bike through the new rock/gravel/dirt pathway that you have to go on from the running center to the picnic loop. I know it is alot of work and so it takes time but just wondering when it is supposed to be done.

Also wondering if they are planning to revamp the picnic loop? It may be in the plans that i missed, but i wish they would just go in and take all the mismatched and broken down picnic tables and replace them all on even concrete pads/surfaces and make it a nicer safer and more stable experience.

thanks for reading that super long post btw haha

  11. So today they have the entire expanse of the old Masraff's fenced off...they currently have a crew doing something to the entire facade of the building that faces Post Oak Blvd currently...not sure if this is part of the entire plaza remodel or for something moving into the space...

edit to add: i just drove by and looks like there is work being done on the inside AND the outer facade is being ripped off so maybe this is both a remodel and an outer renovation to the plaza.
