  1. You employer must have a rinky-dink IT shop. When you do real IT your Infrastructure technicians are at the data center all the time Check out CyrusOne on 59.
  2. Midtown is OK, it just has more opportunity for worthwhile crime . It's relatively safe, but has flashes of being a dangerous place; a savage place. I ran over (in reverse) three attemped car jackers in my wife's SUV. This was 2003 in my Midtown driveway as they tried to jack me at dusk. Score one for the good guy, and long live SUVs.
  3. I thought the "live dobermans" were in Sakowitz, not Joskees. I thought I remember the toy department at Wilson (or was is Service) being in the basement.
  4. I read in Forbes an AWD v30 is coming next year.
  5. My car has electronic stability control and can do the same thing, just without having AWD. You can even disable it if you feel like burning rubber.
  6. I don't think you need AWD in Houston. It's for them folks up in the snow belt.
  7. I think the "five door" is the V40.
  8. Hopefully they don't add a plastic butt. That's so Pontiac. My neighbor just got the Volvo C30. Looks fun.
  9. Hold(en) on to your seats, this "El Camino" sounds FAST! http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpcontainers/...02/pageNumber=1
  10. CoogFans.com says (rumor?) the new Dynaho stadium will be 80% private money.
  11. The basketball park (Root Brown?) across from Toyo is a shining example of how to keep the bums at bay: Security & Water Sprinklers Bums don't need luxury encampments. There are a gazillion other spots in town they can make camp. If I were a bum I'd live under 59/Settegast along the Bayou. Them some nice digs.
  12. Some of y'all act like soccer is a real sport.
  13. Well no. We need our money back. The ROI for our three new palaces has been dismal.
  14. 2,000 + chanting "where's our stadium"? What a bunch of ingrates.
  15. Of course they are "rushing". Did they say why? Behing schedule? Big convention coming? Too much junk ;-)
  16. I still think this park has too much "junk". Too busy. I saw more buildings than open space.
  17. The more it moves along the smaller it gets. I drove by yesterday and this park it TINY!
  18. Why not bring the RR Museum back to life? This was the original terminal. If you have not been it's pretty neat. They have the Houston Post covering the last train trip between Galveston in Houston. I think it was 1961.
  19. I have a couple of Asian friends in Cali. They always ask about Yao. People are paying attention.
  20. They like the Stros in The Valley. That's International, right ;-) Don't foget about the Coogs! The 2007 season gets boiled down to its essence Saturday at Chapman Stadium in Tulsa, Okla., where the Houston Cougars take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in the biggest Conference USA game of the season. A victory by the Cougars (6-3, 5-1 in C-USA) wraps up the West Division title for the second straight year. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/5287419.html
  21. Speaking of Bayou Place, as I type I see they are hanging a new business sign up. Looks like it will say "Merril Corporation". So a new tennant is good news. This is in the new part called "The Planet". I wonder if this is the same Merril that used to be at Jackson @ McGowen?
  22. Is Houston and international city? j/k I've been wanting to get fired-up about the Rockets again. Hopefully this is the year of the Rocket.
