I know it's too late, but they should move all the jails and courts, etc. into the Warehouse District.

Dude! I never put the two together. Maybe I should run for council. Thinking, I am pretty sure I have heard Doug Brown (or was it Ed Brandon?) always say "big airport". And when the train is late "it's not her fault. She didn't do it!".
-
"Big Airport" goes way back to when the "Big Airport" opened. It's was a native thing. Am I the only native left?
-
Poor Aggy. "The Reputation Big Two" has evolved into the law of diminishing returns.

Forget Harvard. UT & A&M can't even compete with the California Flagships. Which proves you need more university systems in Texas to compete. Lumping so many schools under Texas and A&M has failed the state of Texas.

A fund equal to Harvard and the two "Flagships" barely make the Top 50? What a waste of money.

Maybe oil covered grass fire? Or maybe the bayou was on fire! Sing while ye may! The end draws near.
-
I've been staring out the widow since lunch ;-) The visibility is pretty good today. But Wednesday was much, much better. We could actually see NASA (in Clear Lake) from my floor.
-
The one on the bayou looks like a grass fire. The other one off North Main looks like a Bum BBQ gone bad.

I guess that's the reason. It just looks weak. There is a Indian Casino in Arizona between Flagstaff and Phoenix that looks just like it.

All that money and they practice in a bubble. I think they Coogs have a better indoor setup than the Texans.

Or just use those shipping containers. When you graduate they slap wheels on it and off you go.

That is the McGregor Park land and I heard there is going to be some real competition for it. Of course UH seems like they could make the best use of it.

We toured the inside when I was a student at UH (93ish). Wires, wires eveywhere. I think it's a CO (Central Office). They just want to protect the equipment. If you think that is secure you should check out the Williams CO (or is it a "Switch") off the viaduct. It's next to the HISD Food building and looks like a cube.

Not bad. A trashy lunch in the tunnel is $12.00. Nachos in Allen Center are $14.00 and the average at Massa's or Post Oak Grill is $18.00. And these are rush-rush lunch joints.

All they need is a Taco Truck.

You can't deny it's all crammed together. I was there yesterday. Which is why it's not called a park. The word "Green" is starting to make sense.

So what's the deal with the five giant bells on the sidewalk? Do they ring these when it's supper time?

Texas Medical Center Restaurant And Bar Market

I thought this was going to be on Ch 11 not Ch 2. The "bigger than El Paso, Fort Worth, and San Antonio" was a rip off from the Chron. But the Chron said the "The TMC was bigger than d/t Dallas and Ft. Worth combined". With the Belo/DFW connection I assumed they didn't want to look too rinky dink in comparision. -
Discrimination based upon race may be illegal but at one time there was a law that allowed an owner of an establishment to refuse service.
-
A good bouncer does not care about the law. If the club has too many {insert race here} they can do something about it by not allowing them in. This happens all the time all over the world.

To call this place a "Nightclub" is giving it way too much credit. But I am sure it's a fine place to get stabbed.

I always thought the Valley View Foley's had a nice look. It was a cousin of the Almeda Mall back in its prime. But I have not been near Valley View in at least ten years. I bet it's sketched out now.- 255 replies

Bayou Place: Entertainment Development At 500 Texas St.

The original question here by meme was why someone would want to pay downtown prices for a downtown data center. The answer is that not every company pinches pennies like meme's. Using that logic why would we pay downtown pricies to have downtown offices?
