  1. Ewww. You do know which part of the turkey is the "O'toole", right?
  2. But neighborhoods change. It seems logical and almost inevitable that single family houses so close to the Medical Center will be replaced with more dense housing. Who gets to say when change is allowed and when it isn't? And is it wise to delay this change?
  3. Not a dichotomy; an analogy. Comprehension FAIL. Civil FAIL. Really? You're just surprised? You seem annoyed that some folks have an aversion to theme restaurants.
  4. Perhaps some of us have a different opinion about theme restaurants than you do. I don't have to touch every hot stove to know it will burn me. Some folks like that burning sensation, others don't. I don't consider either group "closed minded".
  5. I don't. The only reason I've heard of it before is because an ex-girlfriend dragged me to one a long time ago. It isn't "very popular" with anyone I currently know. Welcome to the wonderful world of internet fora, where everyone has an opinion and no one is afraid to share. I see you've mastered sharing your own opinions, now sit back and enjoy the opinions of others!
  6. Yes it was, and I believe Baybrook had one, too. They were great stores for cigars back before cigars were trendy.
  7. What if you're the sort of person who doesn't think it's cool to hate, but still harshes on Disney?
  8. Same here. I went to the one in Katy Mills about 8 years ago, and just barely remember it now. The food was nothing special.
  9. Us suburban "seedy types" are still reading these messages.
  10. You know, us "seedy types" are reading these messages. Try to avoid personal attacks, OK?
  11. I'm with Musicman. I don't remember a Sears being there before the mall opened in '79.
  12. Hmmm. The love child and I pushed it about 4 times yesterday.
  13. Are those tortured souls I see trapped in those lighted globes?
  14. Wait til you see the rest of the 21st century. Frugality will be essential to any design.
  15. Oh, I can think of something more disturbing than that.
  16. 1. Sharpstown is a suburb. You sound like a product of a wealthier, whiter suburb. 2. Baggy pants probably aren't the primary reason those folks are limited in the "society" you're thinking of.
  17. I think the constant whining is the most whine-worthy. It seems to generate the most whining.
  18. But in the mean time, they're all extremists? Wow.
  19. Me too, but I'm not opposed to people building churches and mosques and such. It sounds like you think this is bad for Houston because it's Islamic.
  20. What is that supposed to mean? Are you trying to saying that all Muslims are extremists? Or are you just thinking it and trying not to say it?
