  1. Here's an updated Flyer for the Shopping Center on the corner. Looks like Texas Mesquite Grill is going in there...and of course, what shopping center in Houston wouldn't be complete without a nail salon? http://edge-re.com/Properties/Houston/~Hwy290Mueschke/Hwy290Mueschke.pdf
  2. I know that they are building the very large Buc-ee's out in Waller roughly 15 miles from the current location, but why would they shut down or sell off the one at Mueschke? I haven't heard that and it doesn't seem like it would make sense to close the current one down or sell off given the growth this area is experiencing. Seems they'd do just fine with each location 15 miles apart, but what do I know?! :-)
  3. Visited this past week based on your recommendation. It was very good and like you said a nice change of pace. We'll definitely return.
  4. I'm not sure how current it is or if it's still accurate, but this shows the Cracker Barrel going in right next to Gringos... http://tgbcrosswell.com/sites/default/files/pdf/L-%20Pad%20Sites%20Mueschke%20and%20290%20051812%20Online%20Version%20Low%20Res.pdf They are currently building a shopping center next to Buc-ee's. But I'm unsure what's going to be in there yet. Here's the flyer for it and other sites on Buc-ee's side of Mueschke. http://edge-re.com/Properties/Houston/~Hwy290,atMueschke_NWC,Cypress,Texas/Hwy290,atMueschke_NWC,Cypress,Texas.pdf
  5. Over the last week I've heard from more than one person that there's a Cracker Barrel coming to Cypress to be built by Buc-cee's. Each also mentioned an Olive Garden in the same general area. I've lived in this area since 2005 and have heard these rumors about both restaurants before, but does the following information found at the below link finally give this rumor some validity? Project Name: Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Project Address: Cracker Barrel Old Country Store 27040 Northwest Freeway Cypress, TX 77433 County: Harris Building/Facility Name: Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Facility Owner: Us 290 Retail Ltd Phone: 713-438-9507 Owner Address: 327 Fm 2004 Rd, Lake Jackson, TX 77566 Contact Name: Jason Kieschnick Phone: Design Firm Name: Design & Engineering Phone: 615-370-1779 Firm Address: 1645 Westgate Circle, Brentwood, TN 37027 Designer Name: Colleen W Atwood Type Of License: Architect License Number: 13896 Start Date: 08/2012 Completion Date: 02/2013 Estimated Cost: $750,000.00 Type Of Work: New Construction Scope Of Work: Proposed New Full-Service Commercial Restaurant And Gift Shop Source: http://www.theaustin... - Houston.html For all I know they've put a sign up, but I haven't driven out by that way recently.
  6. Looks to be a Panera Bread being built in front of Lowe's at Cypress-Rosehill Rd. and 290. http://www.loopnet.com/Listing/17809561/US-290-Cypress-Rosehill-Rd-Cypress-TX/
  7. The HEB is being built now and scheduled for completion this fall. It's not in the original proposed location west of the outlet mall though, but rather on the east side of the mall. http://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/13160-new-heb-planned-west-of-fairfield-at-cypresswood-and-mason/
  8. There's a sign up on this property now for Siterra Properties at www.siterraproperties.com, however, they do not have a full website yet.
  9. Not yet. Not sure on ETA but saw they got their liquor license back at the end of March.
  10. This was posted on April 23rd to The Shack's FB page... The Shack YES i will reopened. Prior life the property was residential now the task of retro -fitting the property to commercial is daunting. I have to please county city and of course state....@#$$$# they are at snail speed at best. The shack is my drug and it will get done. Thanks you all for your support and patience. I miss you all keep the faith joe
  11. http://impactnews.com/articles/fairfield-h-e-b-to-open-by-end-of-year
  12. Nice find. BJ's Restaurant is one of my favs.
  13. Anyone know if/when this restaurant will reopen? According to their website, they supposedly closed to install a commercial well and were only gonna be closed for a couple of weeks. That was back in January. Here we are in April and they still haven't reopened. Their Facebook page hasn't had any updates in awhile either. I know that the owner of The Shack is involved with Rooster's that will be opening in Fairfield, according to a recent article in a local paper. But am just curious if we'll ever see The Shack reopen?
  14. Sign's been up for a couple of weeks. It's right next to Cheddar's at 290/Barker Cypress and construction has already begun.
  15. Was told by a Fairfield resident this weekend that this HEB is no longer going to be placed where the signs are at GP and 290, but rather is going to be built across from the unfinished strip center at Cypreswood and Mason at the front of Fairfield. And that construction is expected to start soon. Anyone know if there's any truth to any of this?
  16. Can't confirm with 100% certainty, but was told today that the pad in front of Wal-Mart is gonna be a Panda Express.
  17. Here's the flyer for the Spring Cypress/290 site that you are referring to... http://www.moodyrambin.com/images/proj1247.pdf It appears to be a small strip center, but I can't tell much more than that. Side note from that flyer...looks like a Regions Bank may eventually be placed on the pad in front of Lowe's on the corner of Fry/Cypress-Rosehill and 290.
  18. According to the listing agent that sold the property, it's going to be a Driver's Auto Repair Center.
  19. Got the answer direct from Moody Rambin...it's going to be a Raising Cane's. www.raisingcanes.com
  20. Noticed they started dirt work on the pad site in front of Alicia's this week. Moody Rambin's website and site plan for Cypress Mill Village hasn't yet been updated to show what's getting ready to be built here. Anyone know?
  21. Looks like Cypress is getting another Mexican food restaurant...Gringo's. Construction has started already... http://www.crosstori...hke20101007.pdf
  22. There's one over on 45 in Spring. Lots of them in the Dallas area. There's one in College Station too. Decent food in my opinion for a chain and at a fair price. Similar to Chili's or Friday's, but I believe it's better.
  23. Cheddars. Getting a couple of hotels there too, Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites. Click on the Site Plan on the right side of the page here... http://newregionalplanning.com/properties/single/hwy-290-barker-cypress
