    This could be a good thing or a bad thing. A new developer could really make this festival a lot larger; adding attractions, adding a small town center with the same aesthetics. However, a new developer could also bulldoze this down a build a giant Walmart with a 500+ parking lot. 

    I'm concerned they may try to turn this into the equivalent of an amusement park, with rides and other things that are uncharacteristic of the festival itself.

    Resia Ten Oaks

    Resia, formerly known as AHS Residential, has closed on $96.5 million in construction financing for Resia Ten Oaks, a 573-unit multifamily development in West Houston. Valley Bank participated in the capital stack, with Santander leading senior financing and Artemis Real Estate Partners providing preferred equity.

  3. Seabrook City Council OKs $170M mixed-use project with Compass by Margaritaville hotels

    This is not a small mixed-use. Per the article:
    "... The company, owned by Houston-based developer John Fischer, plans to develop what is to be called Seabrook Plaza, with a 100,000-square-foot boutique hotel, a 120,000-square-foot extended stay hotel, a 25,000-square-foot event center, a seven-story apartment complex with 260 one- and two-bedroom units, and about 25,000 square feet of retail space.

    It also includes more than 800 parking spots for the hotels and event center and nearly 370 for the apartments. Most of the parking would be on the first and second floors of the buildings..."
