They're running out of 2023, so if this is going to happen, it needs to start now...

I'm not sure how relevant this measurement is, because I'm not sure what buildings are included and which ones aren't, but Houston has the tallest combined skyscraper footage in Texas, followed by not Dallas but Austin. Dallas plus Fort Worth is just short of Houston, which is the way it's been for a while...

I'm in DC, but the Weather Channel was showing 2022 to have been a dry year in Houston...

Friends of the River Oaks Theatre, the non-profit organization formed to save the Houston movie theater from the wrecking ball after its closure in 2021, announced Monday that it is now selling off parts of the theater, namely the seats.
According to the group's web site, saveriveroakstheatre.org, you can sign up for pre-sale with prices at $50 per seat, with a two-seat minimum. With fees, the total is $53.59 per seat. Pickup date is yet to be announced.
Do you have to take delivery of the seats or is this just naming rights? $100 for two seems awfully cheap, as these things go...

There have been plenty of newspaper articles in the last year about backlash against the term "Latinx" in the Hispanic community.
That said, I know plenty of people who will not accept anything but. This seems to have been a tempest Bill Maher has attempted to stir up, and he's not what I would call "Latin"...

WHAT is the fascination with khaki, red, orange and blue? This isn't the only new place that uses that color scheme...

I'm not sure why architects decided red, brown, tan and blue were a color scheme to use everywhere, especially on residential. It does look rather cheap and nasty...

For those wondering what Galatians 6 14 means, I had to look it up because I have zero clue.......
“But far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ by which the world has been crucified to me and I to the world.”
I'm more of an Isaiah 8:10 fan.😎

Wow. In my opinion, it's rather insulting to the neighborhood to purpose-build a slum there.
You want a high-rise storage facility instead?

Texas Southern already has a major presence at the Transportation Research Board. This further cements their aerospace program...

Somebody's going to think they can put a 58-story tower there.
Then all the neighbors are going to put cute little signs in front of their homes...

I don't know guys. I got this funny feeling Bed, Bath and Beyond is going to make a comeback, and they are going to choose this lot as their final stand. One lot for Bed, One lot for Bath, and one for Beyond!

Ion District In Midtown
in Going Up!
Posted
Given the news I've seen of new participants, the Ion itself is nearly fully subscribed, Oxy's come on board as a partner and the Greentown Labs are acquiring new tenants. It seems like 3 million sf is an achievable number.
