  1. info i was given is that the project is on hold for design purposes. the peeps didn't like the design of the propsed tenants that will be there. not sure if it's been stated who the tenants are on here, and i dont feel like reading through 8 pages so i'll just keep it private for now as this is a controversial project.
  2. it's true what some say in y not throw in all the bells and whistles for this project, but from a business perspective i think they are concerned w/ the demographic. currently they feel it may be too risky to put in a central market. if not enough patrons buy from central market they will lose business for this "mulit-million" dollar project. so they are going to go the safe route and put in heb first. however, like i stated earlier if heb proves to be a sucess then there is talk that they would change it to a central market. i agree w/ their decision on this cuz on average i tend to hear people already complain about randall's prices
  3. here is the pic of the attempted burglary. a barricade was not constructed for the glass, instead LV placed temporary glass till the spec'd glass shows up for installation. oh and i've added some pics of the LV store since none were taken on previous photos pics of LV before the grand opening....
  4. nope, but i'll do better...i'll ask my friend who works at the firm that did that louis vuitton to forward me the pic he sent me a while back. i'll post it later today... regarding the rent..i thought 700 was too good to be true, lol.
  5. i'll find out tomorrow what they plan on doing landscape wise. if they aren't def. on the palm trees i'll let them know bout ur cypress trees.....u never know it could happen i know for uptown park phase 1 the magnolia trees were having a hard time surviving due to the heat and great amount of concrete and not enough water for the trees this was a concern of borlingi's for phase 2.....
  6. are they connected to the developers?? anywho, last i heard my friend had to draw up a sketch for a barricade for the damaged window till LV gets the new glass shipped. they even sent me a pic of the damage. i can only imagine if that glass would have shattered how much merchandise would have been lost
  7. so i went to visit the domain. some friends of mine took me there as they did the louis vuitton and stuart weitzman store there. it's close to UT. i must say the area where it's located is kind of weird. all these business buildings. feels like it's in an industrial area....or at least to me it did. but when ur standing in front of neiman markus looking down the shops it's a different feel, IMO. some don't like the style, but i do. i also like the resedential units up top. one of the g.c.'s told me that the units were starting off at $700 which i think is a bargain!! especially considering the residential have a parking garage. but i never verified this amount. all in all i think it's ok. the unfortunate thing is someone already trie to break in the louis vuitton store by throwing something at the glass to shatter it. luckily the glass has a film the prevented the glass from breaking what i do like about austin is the attetion their houses have to be green.
  8. i think the reason y vintage park is getting a lot of hype is due to the developer's rep. borlingi who is doing vintage has also done uptown park phase 1&2, montebello, granduca, etc.. high end stuff. in the beginning there was speculation that the now heb was going to be a central market, this can still be a possibility. if heb does well there is talk that it will be converted to central market just depends on money..profit. a friend of mine works at the firm that works on this project and there are def. mixed feelings on the project. but he says most, like 85% feel it's ugly, lol but i think the style of this center will attract people and would probably be a hit. i mean anything new is typically a hit....
  9. wow, i just passed by this church the other day and it's pretty big!! everyone told me it could be seen off the freeway and that when i drove that way I wouldn't miss it....they were right!! i was wondering out of curiousity is this a non denomonational church?? also i noticed someone posted that it too 500 ppl to raise the money for this church to be constructed, where was it's original location?
  10. ahhh yes, Renzo, he was one of my favorite architects while i was in college and still is It's kind of ironic how Philip Johnson did the College of Architecture building at U of H, yet when i attended the college almost everyone i knew hated the building or shall i say they didn't like Philip Johnson calling him a "copycat", but then again no matter what u do one can never please everyone. there will always be someone who hates it.......
  11. Hi guys, i'm a noob, and just wanted to see if any of u have passed by Vintage Park recently. Some of the buildings have the fnishes on them along w/ molding..... anyway just curious to see what u guys some r giving thumbs up, while others are giving it thumbs down, lol.
