    Sorry about that everyone. I didn't realize it was KHOU. I only caught a glimpse of the commercial. Anyway, did it mention any specific projects from the Texas Medical Centre or was it all broad and general about its expansion?

    Exactly. That chron article talking about the growth of the Texas Medical Center mentioned four office buildings. It really makes me wonder if City Centre is one of them.

    Did anyone see the commercial discussing the huge growth of the Texas Medical Center? They talked about the unprecedented growth and that the TMC is larger than El Paso, Fort Worth, and San Antonio combined (something like that). Anyway, it's supposed to talk about the TMC tomorrow at 10pm on Channel 2 (KPRC). It will discuss the benefits and the complaints people have about the growth of the fastest growing cityscape.

    Exactly... and in some cases, that it needs to be nearly sold out before they can begin construction. It's interesting that, since we have a falling dolar, many foreign entities are focused on this Houston project.

    The belief that you don't need sales to begin a project. Anyway, I completely agree. The Chicago Spire didn't have sales, and look, they're building it! :closedeyes:

    There isn't much to talk about yet, but there is a proposal to be released Thursday which will detail a plan to build a passenger train line from Houston to Galveston. Source What are your thoughts?

    I'm actually surprised it has a spire. It's appears as though it will be an iconic tower for Post Oak, in fact. It's not an average rectangular building.

    Indeed. Everytime I see a new post before I click on the thread, I say to myself "Hmm... I hope it's an update on this project", but I unfortunately get let down whenever I see the posts mention nothing at all but San Francisco. Sorry to sound rude.

    I believe it's simply a steel design. It serves no real purpose engineering-wise.

    Now if only we could get a render of the Discovery Tower, One Park Place, and Embassy Suites altogether.

    This is incredible! That park has generated so much new growth. Who was the creator of Discovery Green, anyway?

    Wow! I'm impressed! I didn't realize it would be so beautiful. Well, at least it wasn't a regular boxy building like I feared. Great job, Houston. We're ready for lift-off.

    Love the render! It looks absolutely massive! It looks like it will have a grand lobby. And what's that next to the Hines tower? a parking garage?

    SOM's design is impressive. We could use a tower like that, but the design definitely wouldn't fit in Houston.
