  1. I attended Shakespeare Swim Club & School [sic] for nursery & kindergarten (circa 1960). "Shakie's" was located in the Rice Village on Quenby at Kelvin. The structure is still standing, and it is now a Montessori School. Learning to swim (and swim technically correct) at an early age was great...and fun. Anyone have any info on "Shakie"?
  2. Valian's was the only pizza in town, when I was a kid...and it was the best! Speaking of pizza...what happened to the original Pizza Hut cracker crust pizza from the early 70's...that was pretty good pizza, too.
  3. Here's a little video I put together of my brother's birthday party at Wee Wild West in th early 60's
  4. The toy store was very convenient...you could buy your pea shooters prior to the start of the movie.
  5. We quit going there years ago because of it had become a hangout for bad kids. I can't say I'm sad to see it go.
