Dallas Galleria Stores that aren't at Memorial City Mall:
*A/X
*Baccarat
*BCBG
*Betsey Johnson
*Club Monaco
*Gucci
*Harold's
*J.Crew
*Johnston & Murphy
*Juicy Coutoure
*Kate Spade
*Louis Vuitton
*Lululemon
*Nordstrom
*Saks
*Tiffany & co.
*Tourneau
*Versace
*ZARA....just to name a few. Memorial city doesn't even come close......
Okay, Dallas' Northpark is just like Houston's Galleria. Dallas' Galleria is no where near the level of Houston's Galleria. Just because it has the same name, doesn't mean anything. You should check the stores. Dallas' Galleria is more comparable to Memorial City Mall.
Also Dallas has Highland Park Village....

I agree that WILLOWBROOK MALL needs a rennovation. I hope it doesn't look like The Woodlands or First Colony Mall though (an outdoors section). Hopefully someone can come up with some innovative ideas to revive this place ASAP!!! Also definitely some HIGH END retailers needed... I'm tired of having to go to the galleria. Dallas has Northpark Center and the Galleria whereas Houston has just one (the galleria). It's about time we upgrade.

So what's actually going on with the mall?
-
Looks like the former Circuit city building will be a Brandon Home Furniture. About time we had a decent furniture store.... check it out www.brandon-furniture.com

according to this link www.newmarkkf.com/espace/willowbrook the willowbrook area is getting a cheesecake factory and Dick's sporting good.
-
I heard from several people that Willowbrook Mall is trying to create a outdoors section. I believe it's where Lord & Taylor used to be. That site has been cleared for some time now, but still no signs of any development.
-
I guess I'm the only oddball who likes air conditioning. I do like the outdoors concept, but not here in houston especially during summer, and on humid, rainy, & too-cold days (about 300 out of 365 days). If anything the outdoors concept is just like any other strip center except bigger with some water fountains here and there. Yes, a lot of malls tend to die out, but to me its all about word-by-mouth. If we all talk down about a particular mall of course eventually no one will go.

Looks like Brookstone is shutting down. I wonder what's going in. F.Y.E. has already closed its door and AERIE is supposedly taking its place.
-
Starbucks, Alan Murphy, and Trustmark bank should be opened according to the website. Just give it time for everything to happen.
-
Looks like Paciugo just opened at Willowbrook...
-
I had the same question....
There is a sign near the old Circuit City building that says "new Willowbrook shopping center coming soon". Are they going to tear down that entire center with the Laff Spot, Shannons Street Waves, and Baker Street Pub? -
Looks like the structure is up... That was quick!
-
ABOUT TIME!!! Thank you!!! Someone finally noticed that the area truly deserves one.

New stores:

Looks like they stopped the plans on the old Lord and Taylor site. The metal fencings was taken down. The mall is still going through some major remodeling. It's starting to look really nice...

Nice pics...

Looks like Willowbrook is going through some major changes. A lot of the stores are remodeling. I noticed that they even took out some of the seating areas with the palm trees. I wonder what they are up to. Pretty cool... Still nothing on the old Lord & Taylor site. They just bulldozed the whole thing and left it there.
-
Looks like they're building another shopping center across the way from the whole Vintage Park project. They already started clearing the land... The area just keeps on growing...
-
Same here. I was impressed too.
if I'm develping a multi-million dollar project, why not throw in all the bells and whistles?...a Central Market will create the immediate buzz they're seekingI'm not a soup and salad guy but when I tried their salad bar at Central Market I was impressed
-
I agree. I think it should be a central market. There's already an HEB on Louetta about 4 miles down. In all of Houston, there is only one Central Market besides the one in the woodlands (which is half HEB).
Outside of the Tomball location and not sure if the Klein one remained open....why not go on and make it a central market to anchor the area? Your going to need a landmark to get folks consistently coming back..grocery stores are the right drawthe rest of the stores I can find closer to 1960 if I need ot get in and out...people are more loyal to grocery stores
-
Looks like Vintage Park will be getting a Bohemian Pastries & Bakery & Bath Junkie. I'm guessing that the Bath Junkie over by Champions Village decided to relocate to the Vintage.
-
I still see the space for the bookstore also. I'm sure Vintage Park will have a good tenant list. It just comes with time. Be patient....
-
I would go with KLEIN WEST.
What should Klein ISD name High School #5?- Klein Lakes High School
- Klein Woods High School
- Klein Ranch High School
- Klein Meadows High School
- Klein Adams High School
- Klein Werner High School
- Klein Keyser High School
- Klein West High School
- Klein Ridge High School
- Klein Manor High School
-
It should be completed at least by fall '07. If anything they'll probably open the finished section first. The thing I'm worried about is the tenant list. It's taking FOREVER!!!
