Johnny Dang looks ridiculous.
I haven't been to Sharpstown since 1993. I've probably been no more than four times in my entire life. My parents used to shop there, though.
-
I hope the unbeaten team goes all the way, whichever one that is (I'd have to look it up; just heard one was unbeaten).
That'd be neat. Though I probably wouldn't be watching, it'd be neat.

My mom used to watch that show.
Here's an article I found:
-
Yao was the subject of a Jeopardy question a few weeks ago.
-
Why don't the Astros get some Japanese players? Japanese guys are hot.
-
Now that I think about it, it's hard to believe that he's just now branching out.
-
Yes, I want to know why Stevie Fancis isn't playing, too. He's not this season's Bonzi Wells, is he? They're likely going to need him considering how Tracy and Yao are so prone to injury. I hope that doesn't happen, but I'm bracing for it.

The people behind the dome hotel were on the Ken Hoffman show yesterday and they seem to not be backing down from it. They said they don't know of a legitimate reason for the rodeo or Texans having any kind of real say-so in it. I guess we'll see. Until then, screw the Texans and the rodeo.

Here's a view from Discovery Green taken the other day:

I reckon I looked at the wrong thing on Google maps, thinking it was Sea Arama, but after looking at that picture it's clearly not.
Poor old Sea Arama.
Anyway, I was in Galveston the other day and was wondering where it was and if it had been torn down yet.
I wonder why Galveston hasn't opened another Sea Arama/Sea World-type park.
-
Ok, I think I found it. Someone posted some photos on here about a year ago that they took of Sea Arama it stands now and it was so creepy and abandoned looking. Kind of like that place on "Lost" last season, for those who watch. They ought to revive it.
-
Just curious. Weren't they supposed to raze the land? I know the remainders of the park were standing for a long time.

they might taunt you more for not having one.
I didn't say I didn't have one.
No really. If you can stand, you can walk, right? I just don't get the point of "riding" one.

Segways look so dorky.

The Montreal one kind of make me nauseated.
-
I second that. Great photos! It's really starting to come along nicely now.

I still miss the Music Hall. I get attached to things.

There's a local commercial currently airing promoting the Rockets' upcoming season and in the last shot where Tracy McGrady and a crowd of people are facing Toyota Center, some of the construction from the Pavilions, such as the cranes are visible.

Here's the article I was talking about if anyone's interested:

He's also sold Disney a personal project called Pool Rats, based on a summer he spent coaching a swim team in Houston. Fickman promises "a Meatballs tone" and to shoot it here entirely."I was a lifeguard and ran the pool at Memorial Club Townhouses," he said. "I want the spirit of Houston, with no Georgia accents by way of Hollywood. I want it to be authentic."
With Witch Mountain first, Pool Rats will have to wait. But Fickman can smell the barbecue already.

The Rock's new movie ("The Game Plan" or something like that) has a Houston flyover in its full trailer.
The director, Andy Fickman, is from Houston. He also proposed an idea to Disney for a movie about a swim team in Houston, based on a real-life experience of his. If it happens, it would be shot entirely here according to the Chronicle.
"The Game Plan" was a big hit over the weekend.

I went last night.

It looks like a flea market right now.

Oh plesae dont' go there! Enough nicknames and SAA (silly arse acronyms).
How about calling it what it is? Memorial City!
But I love aquariums!
Ell oh ell! I know what you mean.

I thought they put something in that place already. You know, it is hard to imagine an aquarium in that spot.

Didn't there used to be a seasonal ice skating rink set up in the parking lot of Memorial City Mall before they built the indoor one?
