  1. Thanks for the pictures! It was depressing but nice to see it at least still standing (via FreakyDude's pictures). Then you scroll down a little and J.A.S.O.N ruins it by posting pictures of it being demolished. Now I'm both sad and nostalgic.
  2. Yeah, but I thought it was for Adidas.
  3. I just now saw that one. I wasn't really paying attention and then I recognized the Houston buildings in white and remembered seeing something on here about it. So I rewound it on my DVR and yep, it was us. The commercial is playing the song "Dancing in the Street" and people are dancing through various cities morping into one another. When it gets to Houston they menion something about the Lone Star State and of course there are some goobers line dancing with cowboy hats, but whatever. Link to commercial: http://www1.macys.com/campaign/macystv_bra...l%20footer%20ad
  4. If I wanted something back I wouldn't have let someone take it into the porta crapper in the first place. It's contaminated now.
  5. Has anyone seen this Chuck Norris Facts website? It's been around for a while, so maybe you have. If you haven't, I urge you to check it out. It's so funny: http://www.chucknorrisfacts.com When will the name of the park be decided?
  6. I hate Denver's oufits because they look too much like the Texans' outfits. I was watching last night and I'd get excited when Denver would score because I thought it was the Texans.
  7. I couldn't come up with anything clever, so I submitted something sarcastic and unnecessary. I shouldn't have done it, but I've been under a lot of stress lately and I was feeling mean spirited. Not that that's any good reason. I like Magnolia Gardens but there's already one of those.
  8. I used to hate the name Minute Maid Park, but I've come to like it. I'm just thankful that we didn't end up with a worse names. Think of other stadium names out there. It could have been us. I think there's a minor league field called Whataburger Field, there's also Home Depot Field. There are the numerous beer name stadiums which make me think of fat, unshaven, drunken men yelling loudly with their bad breath polluting the atmosphere. Yep, MMP's not that bad. It sounds healthy, refreshing and youthful. Plus, it's just plain adorable with its signature orange with leaves (but it's really a baseball!) emblem. So cute, just like the Astros players! Even though they're really bad and probably won't make it to the playoffs. Jason "Hearse" killed them dead last night. Thanks a lot.
  9. Sounds too much like Petco Park. The name of the MLB stadium; I forgot for which team. Petco Park is the most awful name for a studium, in my opinion. I would like the name Hoffheinz for the Astrodome hotel. The Hoffheinz Hotel.
  10. And it's not even followed by a but, or a however, or an although. What gives?
  11. Well it's a real picture, but like I said, airbrush does wonders. Despite that she does look great and youthful for 59. She's older than both of my parents. They could take some tips. On the contrary, I saw a recent picture of Patrick Swayze the other day and he's not aging well. It's kind of depressing considering how good looking he was in his '80s and '90s films. :sigh:
  12. That's very observant. I don't even pay attention to ads, much less the image being used.
  13. That's actually an old picture of Jaclyn Smith circa '70s or '80s. Here's a more recent one of her pushing 60: I think she swears it's all through good, clean living (and some airbrush). Perhaps more proof that the Houston humidy is not all that bad.
  14. The women of Houston are very pritty and the men are very handsim. Most of us look like this: But we also have our:
  15. I e-mailed GHCVB (wtih the address I posted above) and got another reply. They now say that completion should be around March of 2008. They linked me to a couple of releases about Lucky Strike that came out in May.
  16. That would be so funny. Every time a project isn't coming along as fast as it should, or as fast as we think it should (and that's quite often), we can show up and have an unofficial groundbreaking.
  17. I e-mailed the GHCVB a while back; probably a couple of months ago. They said that it should break ground around August or September. I can't find the e-mail. I don't think this was the exact address I used, but since I already e-mailed them and got a reply, someone else can if they want: wzuchniewicz@ghcvb.org Lucky Strike is mentioned in the press room of the GHCVB website. HP was mentioned somewhere in there not long ago.
