  1. The Mestizo population of Mexico is considered Caucasian, as with a large of the population of Europe. Caucasian does not exclusively mean white American.
  2. The only practical and affordable usage would be to demo the sidewalls and leave just enough structure to support the dome. Will make a huge shaded pavilion for hosting outdoor events, and require no HVAC for minimal conversion costs. And the “dome” still exists for historical preservation.
  3. Grand Texas theme park work underway:http://montgomerycountypolicereporter.com/grand-texas-theme-park-work-underway/
  4. You mean they actually expected me to expend my energy looking? That’s why the internet was invented. (Thanks!)
  5. Technically the website is “not up” and has been that way for years. If you go to the home page http://www.grandtexas.net/ you are not allowed access to the site. They are not smart enough to know that search engines easily jump the barrier. Look at the location: “As part of the development process, Grand Texas has determined three different desired sites. Two are in Montgomery County, while the other is in Fort Bend County. We can assure you, this information will be provided as soon as readily available.”
  6. Moderator: it’s officially time to move this thread into “The Woodlands and Northern Pines” Grand Texas Theme park continues plans to move into East Montgomery County
  7. It appears you can eliminate the Tomball location for the theme park. Following is an article in the Community Impact newspaper for a new business park. http://impactnews.com/articles/business-park-to-capitalize-on-exxonmobil-campus-relocation/photos.html#2843 The parks original planned location was listed as 11598 Holderrieth Road. The planned business park is shown in the same location.
  8. We may need to move this thread to The “Woodlands and Northern Pines” http://www.grandtexas.net/visit_info.html#faq "As part of the development process, Grand Texas has determined three different desired sites. Two are in Montgomery County, while the other is in Fort Bend County."
  9. Grand Texas remade the video removing the location from the audio. http://youtu.be/c5odOxY6wAI
  10. Video posted on YouTube with new renderings of the park. Audio reports it just "North" of the woodlands? http://youtu.be/MpCgi1Fi7Lo
  11. Go a mile to the east and Lone Star College / University Center is clearly marked.
  12. Yes but the Irving employees are mostly top management, and the rank & file here would be very uncomfortable with them looking over their shoulders. Lots of political implications.
  13. ExxonMobil should make a formal announcement early next year on their plans for the campus. At this time they have not finalized exactly what branches will close and move to the Spring location. Likely they will not move the present Dallas and Houston offices
  14. Where the heck do you get off thinking that TW is setup as anti-social? Our neighborhood on Wynnoak was overly social to a fault. Whenever my wife and I were working in the front yard inevitably five or six neighbors would come over to converse. Others would bring their dogs to play with our dog. Their kids would be playing football, baseball or soccer in the street. Before you knew it there were 10-15 people milling around our driveway and we could never get anything done. Maybe the exception is the megabuck gated areas, but that is only a small fraction of the neighborhoods in TW. Actually I can only think of three gated neighborhoods here. Why does everyone assume/accuse that every neighborhood is megabuck? I think TW has done a great job of developing the COMMUNAL bike paths, the COMMUNAL parks, and the COMMUNAL areas of Town Center. Plus every village has their own little COMMUNAL shopping center where you run into your local neighbors. How is this not promoting community?
