  1. This place looks pretty good and the website says "New Willowbrook Location coming soon". I think its near the movie theater somewhere rather than the mall - here's the address - 17505 Highway 249. I called the Katy location to see if the Willowbrook location was open and they said it would be open in about 2 weeks... http://www.guayabagrill.com/gg_WhatsGuayaba.aspx
  2. This is kind of interesting... http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/levi...D&dist=hppr
  3. Hopefully Mission Burrito will stay. I've seen some turnover on the site plan over the last several months for those colored Green for Lease Pending...
  4. For a while there was a place listed as "Steaks" on the Vintage Park website. I saw a paper sign in one of the windows today for a Trio Steak and Winehouse. I can't find any websites for this though. Maybe it's a new venture like Peli Peli.
  5. If anyone is curious about this new Pizza Fusion place coming to Vintage Park, go to youtube and search on Pizza Fusion - there are over 50 videos on this place...
  6. Maybe the name "empty stocco buildings with boring stores land" was already taken.
  7. Hopefully they are reading this board and this is their response to all the criticism... That's kind of what it sounded like. I don't know if they are already trying this, but what I think they need to do is recruit a few true high end "destination" places and just give them an absolute steal of a deal too good to pass up (approach a Nordstrom's, Houston's Restaurant, Cheesecake Factory, Barnes & Noble, etc... )- something that people really would get excited about (none of the current tenant line up apply) . It's not like they don't have the space available and it should help bring in more interested co-tenants as a result. It would also help generate more positive community buzz (which is all just major disappointment right now)... And even giving away a steal of a deal to a couple of really attractive tenants would be better than what they are getting for all that empty storefront now... Bottom line is that I personally wouldn't want to try and sell storefront at a premium price while using "close proximity to Cheeburger Cheeburger" as my main selling point. Good luck with all that.
  8. They definitely do look nice, but I don't know if $130 sq foot for a townhome when you can get large single family homes for well under $100/sf in the area makes sense for too many people... However, maybe the opportunity to buy at such a prime location (only steps from Cheeburger Cheeburger) makes it worth the extra $...
  9. I hate to say it, but I don't think the current crop of no-name stores - Cheeburger Cheeburger, Peli Peli, Shogun, etc... is going to draw in too many high profile stores (or too many customers either in the long run...). There is not currently one single "destination" store on the entire tenant list.
  10. Looks like they finally made some small updates to the website for the first time in months. A couple of not interesting stores and also some dates. Cheeburger Cheeburger is coming in July, Fish City Grill this summer, Peli Peli in September, etc... Also there is a brochure available at the location in the leasing center that shows some additional businesses with Letters of Intent which includes some locations not on the website. Still - the progress is pretty pathetic and I'm not impressed with the job CBRE is doing at all. http://www.vintageparkhouston.com/storesandmore.php
  11. Or better yet, put them in stockades and spraypaint their faces in the name of art.
  12. I read in the Houston Business Journal that Dick's Sporting Goods is not going forward with the plans to expand to Houston, even though that is shown on this company's flyer. I'm not 100% convinced we're getting a cheesecake factory yet either - though hopefully we will.
  13. I'd say they were implying Galleria and Memorial City. But I'll have to check out the official listing of best malls to be sure.
  14. Funny how in the actual flyer they say " Willowbrook is the 3rd best mall in Houston. " Maybe true, but is that a fact or an opinion? They might as well say "Willowbrook is a really cool mall" or "Check this place out for a new restaurant, dude." A new Cheesecake factory would be cool though. And if they can add three 8000 sf restaurants with large patios like they show on their website, maybe Willowbrook Mall will be the undisputed 3rd best mall in Houston.
  15. The development is beginning to look a bit like Lajitas (http://www.lajitas.com/). A really nice ghost town.
  16. Another interesting thing on Vintage Park - there used to be MORE places listed (I remember Tossed was a salad restaurant, Earl of Sandwich, etc...) that aren't even listed on the site plan anymore. This thing has been 25% leased for a long time. Didn't they announce this project a couple of years ago???
  17. Looks like the Vintage Center (the new construction across Louetta from Vintage Park, and a little further east, is filling up rather quickly. Nothing too exciting though - Lenny's sub shops, some pastry place, a doughnut place, a realty place and a dentist... http://www.bpirealty.com/Uploads/Documents...%20-%20Bill.pdf
  18. It's been a long time since any new tenants were added to the vintageparkhouston.com website, and supposedly they are only 30% leased. What's the deal?
  19. On Peli-Peli - It's a new concept and was originally listed as Peri-Peri on the vintage park website. I guess they either had a change of heart on the restaurant name or it was a typo originally.
  20. Cheeburger Cheeburger just got added? How about a Houston's? a Two Rows? a Champps? So far I'm still not very excited with the dining options at this supposed upscale destination...
  21. Another restaurant was added to the site today - Potbelly... Here is the menu from the Woodlands location. Still not too blown away by any of the restaurants joining vintage park... http://www.potbelly.com/DownloadForms/PB_FaxMenu_089.pdf
  22. HP still has more than half the campus. There have been some layoffs, but also they are taking everyone that had an office and squeezing them into cubes - so mainly they are just packing people a lot more tightly into the remaining buildings.
  23. FYI if anyone is interested in this Peri-Peri restaurant: I actually spoke to the guy that is opening it and it sounds pretty cool. He used to own Paul's Pizza Shop, but says it is going to be an upscale South African themed 2 story restaurant with an expensive wine room and occasionally featuring a jazz band. There is a South African themed spice called Peri-Peri that will be the main ingredient used on many of their chicken, steak and seafood dishes. Said he thought lunch entrees would run around $7 -$10 and probably $20+ for dinner entrees. He said 8000sf, though I thought the Vintage Park website had a smaller amount listed... Expected the website to get updated in about 60 days and to open the restaurant in March 2008 or so...
