Downtown ped traffic usually is from 6-9 (get to work) , 11-2ish (lunch) , then 3-6 (go home).

Not to be rude but is your wife 16? I dont know any Women who shop there for clothes, just teenage girls.
No, she is 28, but very petite and always finds her size there. She enjoys buying disposable 'going out' clothes and casual 'around the house' clothes there. Alot of good looking women in their 20's shop there, but your right, alot of teenage girls too.
I for one am not complaining about the announced tennants, I'll just be happy there will be somewhere else to go besides Macy's or Park shops to kill time during a slow day at work.

Well Bachanon was right. I am underwelmed.
Forever 21 is an "anchor"? I thought it was just a little clothing store.
Hey, don't knock forever XXI, mark my words, the joint will be crawling with good looking women.
AND my wife can spend her time there while i knock'em back with my buddies at whichever happy hour location strikes my fancy that evening.
Good times are coming..

There are times when they are very convenient. Too cold outside? Rainy? On the other side of the coin however, they are dank and some portions smell horrible. AND a breeding ground for germs. I believe one of the original intentions was to relieve pedestrian traffic at street level to relieve traffic snarls.
There are some street level places that offer tunnel access, corner street bakery, topz, the park shops. I like to have the option of going street level or through the tunnel.

My sister in law (only 18) went to the bar named O2 a couple weeks ago and was offered a 'wristband' by a club staffer so that she could purchase alcohol, despite the black X on her hand courtesy of the bouncer.
Man, that's a dirty joint. I for one will not miss these places once they do shut down.

Ok need help again. My old man was trying to remind me of a restaurant he used to take me as a kid. It was on westheimer near bering where the pappadeux is now.
According to him, it had a circus theme, decorated with clowns and such. The restaurant served typical american fare, i of course always had a cheesburger. This would have been about 25 years ago. Anyone else recall? Thanks!

M bar had a long run, and Prague before it did as well. Something else will pop up. There is a popular group that promotes their every saturday night, and i havent heard anything about the club closing from them....
Either way, i dont think this is a 'new' problem either, if m bar does close, something else will open it its place.

I was in Tyler on business back in 2000. Dry county, only one 'gentlemen's club', and it closes at 12. Pretty laid back place. Nice pics.

Single guy? Limited budget?
Hit Kona Grill @ the Galleria on thursday and friday evenings. They have happy hour form 4-7, with half price appetizers. The maui tacos are good, as well as the pizzas.
That together with cheap beer and plenty of good looking girls is a great way to start off a weekend.... and if you can make it, the reverse happy hour starts up again from 9-11pm.

Oh so THATS what happened to river of no return.....
How the hell does a giant fake kong catch fire?

Sorry to be so "vanilla", but that makes you cool how. . . .?
He didnt say anything about it making you cool...
Anyhoo,
Best memories,
1. The king kong replica at the end of river of no return.
2. bamboo shoot ride
3. going right before closing to avoid lines
4. erasure concert (didnt catch that they were gay, wondered what the deal was with the roller skates...)

Don't forget payless on main and mckinney....
Seriously though, i hope the store does open, i need another place to hang out when it's slow at work. Macy's is getting old.....

I think, back in the 80s and early 90s, this was actually a topless bar. I'm not sure about that, either, though.
Oh if only there were a topless bar in downtown.....i wouldnt have to fight traffic to get to the mens club for happy hour.
I never went when it was Vision, but i was there pretty much every weekend in the late nineties. It was very asian back then.

Ahh the old spy....don't worry, it will probably reopen under a new name in a month or two

Its down the street from rich's I believe, and it looks like a dump. That being said, I think i'll check it out this weekend, thanks for the reminder.
