Tower Of The Americas At 739 East Cesar E. Chavez Blvd.
Talbot replied to Boris's topic in San Antonio
Great pics of San Antonio, their downtown sure is purty. I haven't been to DT SA in a long time, even though I frequently visit my family there. I need to check it out again sometime soon. -
It has a nice amount of retail, but it sounds and looks just like any other strip center mega complex off of some freeway in Houston.

Are they really going to put the companies names on the walls in front of the building? Or are those just for the rendering?

Shamrock. A residential tower that was supposed to go up downtown but fell through.

I saw the site where they are constructing the 2nd rendering, and it's already cleared so maybe they will start construction on that soon. It's a couple blocks east of the mall.

GreenStreet: Mixed-Use Development At 1201 Fannin St.
Talbot replied to MontroseNeighborhoodCafe's topic in Downtown
I think Semi just wanted to add in the thread how much Houstons sucks, when Houston sucking hasn't even been mentioned in this thread. Poor Semi. And eelimon, I don't think he said the gym sucks, I think he said the gym sucks all of the business out of downtown. -

I've never been there, but it looks like a pretty cool city and I wouldn't mind visiting. -
Cool. I like the second building more than the first, especially the entrance. The first renderings entrance was pretty boring compared to the second renderings.

Man, that sucks. Hopefully they venture down here soon though. -
That would be nice, but no. I just think a car dealership or suburban homes would be bad for that spot, when they could do something a lot better.
-
Great news, I hope to hear about more properties like this in the near future.
