  1. This can't be true

  2. Not sure how I feel about this. More glad than not

  3. If you have an antenna on your tv you can watch the action at Numbers live on JoeTV, KZHO-LD digital channel 38.9 or at JoeFM.net

  4. That's the one. Seeing it on TV made me think about it again. I used to look at it every time i passed by it as a kid on our way to my grandparents house and wonder what the building was. I remember it as Bob Robertson Chevrolet, my mom bought a Cavalier there in 86. For a time then it was surrounded by trailers that were used as the offices for the dealership.
  5. Currently a bus station, was once a Chevy dealership. Anyone know what it was originally? It looks like it could have been a theater once
  6. Glad to see I'm not the only one to notice this. I was well aware of it since the strip center was completed. Always thought of it as a nod to the Sears store that had served the east end for so many years before. Like, gone but not forgotten.
  7. Wow NenaE, A lot of my family including great & grandparents live in that area. We all shopped there a lot back in the day (70s & 80s).
  8. Yes it was. There was another one almost identical to this one on Harrisburg between Wayside and Marcario Garcia. Used to go shopping there for school clothes with my parents a lot in the 70s and early 80s. I still remember that place and remember that design, including the red neon Sears sign. It was closed by 1983 and demolished not long after. Interestingly the strip center thats there now still has a long piece of the old granite at its base behind the building on the Wayside/Capital side of the building. I always thought that was cool that they did that. You can see for yourself here: https://goo.gl/maps/JKbcGZDYpuF2
  9. Surprise to me too because I thought I heard years ago it was closing. I thought it was. Wow how does it stay open. It can't possibly be the same old Sears it was say 20 years ago, with every floor and different departments still open, is it?
  10. Just loved "Fishdance - Save New Wave - Live" by @djscammarata on @mixcloud https://t.co/Quv4IdyhFD

  11. Just found out the site i once launched an 80s station and broadcast my mixes live, is no more. Im sure it got too expensive to keep it running. I, along with many others, left when they started charging for royalties back in 2003. I'm amazed it lasted this long. Rest in peace Live365http://live365.com

  12. Well looks like if Payton Manning retires tonight he gets to go out in glory with a championship AND Gary Kubiak and Wade Phillips get one as well. Wade gets that win for the family. Bum has to be smiling right about now

  13. No she's out of reporting business right now to focus on her wedding, it's not clear whether or not she's coming back. Heres an article about that.. http://mikemcguff.blogspot.com/2015/10/katie-mccall-to-leave-fox-26-kriv.html
  14. Responding to an old post I know but.. I worked at Zazz (formerly Avalon/DV8) I was having to ride the bus there for a while and would walk right through their parking lot, then one night I got there and the place was gone. Like it just disappeared overnight. Was so weird
  15. 30 years ago this morning.

  16. Little known fact about Jim McKrell, he's also an actor, which was a surprise to me when he became a news anchor he in Houston as well as did voiceover work for (then) KHTV. He's been in several movies including playing Principal Thorne in Teen Wolf as well as many TV shows thoughout the previous 2 decades before his time here. Here's his IMDB page.... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0572100/?ref_=tt_cl_t7
