  1. New Graphics are being used in the promos! Full package must be debuting very soon.
  2. ABC 13 switched over to the new weather graphics that are coming to all ABC O&O stations about a month ago. They are supposedly a pre-cursor to the new package to come. Hopefully the full package debuts soon. The new weather graphics are really nice, sleek and clean. Cant wait to see the full new package.
  3. Has anyone seen the new WLS-TV Chicago ABC O&O affiliate's new graphics package? I read that all ABC O&O stations will soon be moving to this new package that took nearly 3 years to develop. Its a pretty nice package, I can see this being used at KTRK. They are way overdue for a new graphics package. Take a look below.
  4. Did anyone else notice KTRK ABC 13 updated their newscast openings with different theme and VoiceOver. I noticed the change during all of their newscast yesterday. I wonder why the subtle but big change.
  5. I’ve been a fan and viewer of KTRK ABC 13 for years. I’ve seen many changes throughout the years. Does anyone else think it’s time for a Graphics Package revamp or update!? The current package debuted in April 2015. It’s too generic in my opinion, a mix of skyline/city shots and modern would be a great fit in my opinion!
  6. Option 1 would have all of Gleannloch Farms including north of Northpointe Dr. going to Doerre Intermediate. Option 2 would have Gleannloch Farms north of Northpointe Dr. going from Krimmel to now Ulrich. Gleannloch Farms south of Northpointe Dr. going from Doerre to now Ulrich. Option 2 has the entire subdivision of Gleannloch Farms going to Ulrich. It could go either way, but like I said more people at the meeting favored option 2 over option 1 for a number of different reasons.
  7. Actually I was able to attend. The meeting went very well. Many questions were addressed. There are 2 zone options for Ulrich. Most of the people at the meeting thought option 2 was a better fit fo the district. Option 1 will relieve Schindewolf, Hildebrandt, Krimmel and Doerre. Option 2 will relieve Schindewolf, Hildebrandt, Krimmel, Doerre and Wunderlich. With option 1 subdivisions now in the Schindewolf zone like Forest North, Forest Ridge and Mossy Oaks would now go to Hildebrandt but then return to Klein Collins instead of Klein Oak. Thats not good. With option 2 some kids south of FM 1960 would now go to Kleb instead of Wunderlich, but go to Klein Forest instead of Klein. Also subdivisions now in the Schindewolf zone like Enchanted Oaks and Cypress Forest will now go to Strack. In my opinion option 2 is way better.
  8. Yeah, I'm sorry, I meant the 8th largest in the US, not the world. I knew it was the 8th largest something though.
  9. I'm shocked Houston isn't on the list being that it is the 8th largest Airport in the world.
  10. Mike Konicki of the KCHS Athlectic Dept. passed away this morning after a long battle with Cancer. The Cancer had spread to other parts of his body. Assosciate Principal Steve Matheson came onto the PA sysem at approximately 12:20 pm to make aware the school of what had happened. The rest of the day was sad and heartbroken for the Konicki Family. He was a major, great and successful asset of Klein Collins High School and will be greatly missed. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
  11. The Klein ISD wants you to go out and vote for the new 2008 Bond. The $646.9 million Bond will address Growth, Technology, Buses, Equipment and other needed items throughout the Klein ISD. WHEN: Saturday May 10, 2008. WHERE: Your Zoned Elementary Campus. WHO: All Klein ISD Residents.
  12. It's a budget thing. The district saves money on Architectural Fees because the architect doesn't have to design a building, he already has drawings from the previous Klein school. The Architect only has to design a siteplan because every piece of property is different. For example Benignus, Frank and Elem. Schools #26-27 will be the same design, the district just spends money on making the school's fit to it's site.
  13. Klein ISD believes in reusing Architects and Floorplans, HS #5 and HS #6 will most likely be a redesign of Klein Collins, adding new features like Grade Level Houses and a 3rd Gym. They have to go by the Findings and Directions Plan. The new Schools will most likely be redesigned by RWS Architects, the Architectural Firm who designed Klein Collins HS.
  14. #11 is Mittlestadt Elementary (Klein ISD) #12 is Westfield High School
  15. #6 is Cypress Ridge High School #10 is the original Klein High School (1938)
  16. Klein High School Klein Oak High School Klein Collins High School Where's Klein Forest High School?
  17. It would actually be a waste of money to build a new HS south of the beltway. Klein Forest would have 1,800-2,000 students with the new HS with about the same enrollment when the building capacities are at 3,000 students.
  18. I agree that this Klein High School thing is crazy. I wonder would the district have done this if it were Klein Forest, Klein Oak or Klein Collins? I have Posted the new 2008 Klein ISD Bond Plan.
  19. The Texans have been doing better. They played a good game today.
  20. Last night on ABC 13, They said it was one of the top worst performing stores in the country.
  21. I was reading on KleinISD.net, and it appears that Larry Whitehead (Principal of Klein High School) is for moving his students into the new HS#5 while Klein recieves a remodeling. He said it was a great idea.
  22. Sad, Heard about this incident today on the news. On campus security should have been there faster.
  23. According to the 2008 Findings and Directions plan, When HS #6 is built, a new stadium will be built on that same property adjacent to the school. The location for HS #6 is at the intersection of Huffsmith Korhville and FM 2920.
  24. I agree 100%. Why build a brand new high school for a new group of students who don't get to use it until it's 2 years old because another group of students is using it. If Klein ISD want's to rebuild Klein High School, then they need to do like they always do to solve a problem and just put 150-300 T-Buildings out behind Klein High School near the Annex for Klein High School students. I don't think it is fair for them to take advantage of someone elses new school. Plus, Klein ISD really needs this High Schooo #5. If Klein Collins recieves another 100-150 kids next year, it will not be good. I just have 2 questions. 1. I also want to know who's idea this was because it's not a good one. 2. When the bond passes, When wiill construction begin on HS #5?
