What benefits would bringing back more oysters give? Slightly unrelated, but I have seen people claim that there were written accounts of the bay the 1800s that describe huge mounds and reefs of oysters that even sometimes stuck out of the water.

Can we have more trees and vegetation along the bayou banks and less concrete and metal pilings? Or is flood control and erosion more important than trees (whose roots can actually help prevent erosion) and nature? Can we do this to White Oak or Brays Bayou next? I know it would be harder because those bayous are concrete-lined.
