  1. This is all pretty confusing. Zimmerman Interests owns 110 & 114 Main Street and the owners are really interested in rehabbing and revitalizing the northern edge of Main Street. It'd make a ton of sense if they were developing this land into something new, but it makes no sense for a gas station developer to come in and build something there
  2. Cool to see that they're hard at work. I wonder, will the actual Taco Stand be in that restored building? Doesn't feel like that'd match the other Bermudez restaurant aesthetics, but it'd be a nice change
  3. Hopefully this fluff piece means they're still expanding and plan on moving forward with their Montrose highrise. I believe they own the lot where Bacco used to be. I'd love for the huge empty lots in Montrose to start filling in
  4. Wow, this is an incredible update. Magnol is the best bakery in Houston. This location is going to be obscenely popular
  5. Drove by here the other day and I didn't see any progress. Anyone know if this is still moving forward? It's still on the "Coming Soon" page of Levcor's website
  6. Any updates on this one? Seems like the developer isn't in a huge rush
  7. I don't have any insider info, but if I had to speculate, I think the construction team running over a woman with heavy machinery probably caused the slow-down.
  8. Is this a fun and/or well-attended event? I'm potentially interested, but would love some more info!
  9. The only difference I see is that someone colored in the graffiti. Is any work actually being done on this?
  10. So true. One of the "potential project" things for the City of Houston includes "removal of the Waugh offramps", so the idea is out there. But as you said, won't happen under Whitmire.
  11. Does this mean soil testing leading to them building something? That'd be a very exciting development. It's too bad that the "Fleur-De-Waugh" right next to this location is one of the biggest wastes of land in Houston. It's extremely prime property for another park, or an addition to Buffalo Bayou Park/Spotts Park.
  12. Honestly, I'm in favor of this move. Such a prime location and gorgeous building for a gaudy urgent care
  13. For the uneducated, any clue what this would mean? They want to build a new wall that will be 10-feet from the street and the setback is larger than that?
  14. Does anyone have information on Phase 2 of White Oak Station? Also, that brochure has a rendering of The Swift Building redevelopment. Anyone have any idea where they got that?
  15. That's awesome. Was up on the roof a few weeks ago and was thinking about how much unused space they have up there. I'll probably never go myself, but that'll definitely be a good attraction, considering the pool will likely have a fantastic downtown view
  16. Gauge Engineering released a 3D rendering of the proposed Montrose improvement project!
  17. Feels like this one has stalled out quite a bit. Glad to see they put some scaffolding up in the last month, but I thought this thing was going to be done 10 months ago
  18. I definitely hope they're planning a luxury hotel, but their portfolio seems to contain a lot of Fairfield Inns and the like.
  19. Anyone know how much it costs to buy and plant a 20+ year old live oak?
  20. Looks like this is going to be a Starbucks.... The Wolf Capital Partners website definitely corroborates this: 1111 E 11th St — Wolf Capital Partners (wolf-cp.com)
  21. Yeah, La Grange was mostly popular because it's a great space. I'm sure someone will come along quickly to take another stab at the venue. We just have to hope that whoever comes along does a good job and doesn't just do a quick flip to try to make a quick buck. I'd be looking at Goodnight Hospitality, so they can connect it to the rest of their development in that area
