  1. I lived at 2121 Harold in the 70s as a kid until 1980. The Mi-T Bite was on the corner of Shepherd, the Toddle Houses successor. I have not been able to find a photo of it online, only a mention in Texas Monthly from 1975, which also mentions Ninfa‘s as „offbeat and new“. I used to skateboard with friends up and down the walk in front of the Alabama Theater and Cactus Records. Our house was originally built by an architect for himself and had all kinds of unusual features like a secret side staircase off of the main one and secret cabinets in the kitchen, a greenhouse and a cool attic hideaway in the garage. The street now is unrecognizable except for a few houses left over from then. It’s all massive condos now built out to the sidewalk. We had a front yard, albeit a small one.
