  1. We saw the Sound of Music there...it played for almost two years.

  3. My wife and I had our wedding reception at the Briar Club in 1967.
  4. Looking at all the pictures in the flyer it appears they found issues that required major demolition of the foundation throughout the building. Maybe some sort of conflict with the contractor, etc.????
  5. Our family stayed at the Tidelands in 1963, after returning to Houston from a 5 year stay in Asia.......before we moved into our home.
  6. A beautiful cemetery....we were there a few months ago for a family funeral.

  15. Excellent article...I graduated from St.Thomas in 1968 and my wife and I lived on West Main from 1970 to 1973.
  16. I worked downtown in the late 60's and early 70's and I parked in underground garages and walked in air conditioned tunnels to the office buildings........
  17. I worked in the IBM building under construction next door from 1968 to 1973, then moved to continue working with IBM around the country until 1992.
  18. I used to go to that one a lot in 1963 and 1964.....
