  1. The listing agent told me that the finish was already there and not part of the "flipper-upper" redo.
  2. Ouch. I must have missed the memo on forum etiquitte. But now that I know I'll do my best to keep from offending you in the future.
  3. I guess the buyer got cold feet. The listing is now active again.
  4. $335,000 No pics in the listing yet but I will try to attach an old photo. www.har.com/9746561 http://i10.tinypic.com/43fvjx0.jpg
  5. You're right. It's the mother of all cracks. And it's right in the middle of the room. Most of the other areas were ok though and it's actually bigger than what is posted. The is a guest quartes with one bedroom, tiny kitchen and odd bath that is not reflected in the 4+4 listed. So how hard (expensive) is it to repair terrazo anyway?
  6. Already option pending but still nice to look at. May fall through though. Looks like a forclosure but with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths on half an acre inside the loop with lots of terrazo it's a steal. http://www.har.com/2224041
  7. I'm sure you won't have any trouble selling in that neighborhood. Did you by any chance purchase any of the homes original furniture? I love the round dining table with green chairs that was originally in the den.
  8. I may be the odd one out but I don't think it's really that expensive at $132.50 per SF. Homes in Meyerland are really increasing in value. Both the house and lot are above average size and it has a pool. It's also zoned to Bellaire High School which results in some of the value. But before I would make an offer I would check with an insurance agent to see how much insurance coverage including flood coverage would be on this home.
  9. Being held open Sunday from 2-4. http://tinyurl.com/yqqqr6
  10. Even worse it was already highlighted in the Cool Houses, Scary Neighborhood! post a few weeks back.
  11. My apologies I didn't read the agent's comments well enough in the listing. That's what I get for surfing mods and taking property calls at the same time. Anyway here is a copy and paste of the agent comments from the listing agent. "Nationally known modern architect, Harwood Taylor of Taylor and Neuhaus designed 8502 Dashwood with features of three of the residences that won Houston's 2007 Good Brick Award. The award winners and 8502 Dashwood boast floor-to-ceiling windows and long rectilinear lines. The Greater Houston Preservation Alliance is a nonprofit which gives the award. This year, for the first time since the preservation-award program was launched in 1979, most of the winning homes were built after 1950."
  12. Did anyone see the house on Dashwood that's up for sale? I guess the 2007 Good Brick Award put the owner in the selling mood. http://tinyurl.com/y7b36o
  13. According to HAR it is PENDING CONTINUE TO SHOW.
