They should just go full high-tech. Get Dyson to design a bladeless airboat.

Hines' developments around town have been super mindful of bikes and bike storage, I'll go out on a limb here and the lane and bike usage in general will be heavily integrated. Especially so given what they are aspiring to with this development. Doesn't the Tap basically die right there anyway though once you get across 288?
With this development moving ahead, I'm hoping a bike path is put in on Dixie Dr. sooner rather than later. It would directly connect the Columbia Tap to Hermann Park over the Bill Coats bridge, which is itself a cool location. A dedicated path over the 288 bridge on Dixie would also make the apartments going in on the corner of Bowling Green eminently walkable, not to mention the existing complexes closer to OST.

Seeing this makes me wonder if there's any possibility the sky lobby will ever be open to the public again.

Looks like Centerpoint has given the city the go-ahead to build trails on their easements. Can't wait for these to go in and start linking up the bayou paths.

Brand new here, I know a bit about this thing though. It's a UH architecture project from years ago, the New Harmony Grotto by METALAB based on the work of Frederick Kiesler. Here's an Archdaily article about it.

Ion District In Midtown
in Going Up!
Posted
I work in the district and they had a crew doing asbestos remediation a week or so back, I assume in preparation for demo. Hopefully this is a prelude to a redo of Eagle st, and a sidewalk upgrade to link 4201 Main with the Ion garage.
