  1. Noticed Google Maps showed a listing for Sunday Press could it be that they’re opening a location at this address?
  2. Bring something like this to literally everywhere in Houston 💪
  3. Damn it, I was hoping it was a mattress store
  4. There seems to be construction fencing around the building. Does anybody know what’s going on here?
  5. That patio was such a nice respite - even when the trained passed by
  6. New Heights Coffee Roasters has been having pop-ups around the Heights and Houston-area in the past couple of years. They have also been selling coffee outside of Donovan Park (Heights Blvd & E 7th St) on weekends when the weather is nice. Their Instagram page @newheightscoffeeroasters said a coffee lab at 718 Heights Blvd was coming soon. Google still has that captured but that address is no longer on their bio. 718 Heights Blvd is a house just north of Donovan Park. A new entity called New Heights Coffee Roasters was registered last year using the same address: https://www.bizapedia.com/tx/new-heights-coffee-roasters-llc.html
  7. I saw this on FB Marketplace a few weeks ago, looks like it sold: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/721734873079008/
  8. Google Maps showing My Old House Cafe at 540 Frazier
  9. Nope the listing is a sale of the building with its existing tenants. Magnol Bakery is opening in the former Andy’s building
  10. Circa Real Estate is moving to 11th Street
  11. Supposed to be Magnol Bakery according to this listing https://www.marcusmillichap.com/properties/104830/1129-1141-e-11th
  12. MKT has a long term encroachment agreement with the city to maintain their improvements on the side of the existing project, the part with the wooden wave deck and the crushed granite. The Swift property line is right along their current fence, but the developers already have an encroachment agreement up to the drainage ditch (right up against the trail)

  14. Also, did anyone notice that “Ice House” coming to 701 Waverly?
  15. Corporate Liquidators, the wholesale office company that was operating at the massive corner space overlooking the wooded area at 650 W 6th Wt is no longer there. Lot of dirt moving inside the building today. From the updated brochure, it looks like Elite Pickleball will be taking over their spot and the small space currently taken over by Elite Pickleball will be available in July 2024. The brochure also includes plans for the Aztec property adjacent to here as Phase II of this development
  16. In February 2020, Houston Chronicle reported renewable energy firm Archaea Energy would be relocating its headquarters from Pittsburgh to a 40,000 square-foot space at MKT. BP North America, with offices in Houston, announced the planned acquisition of Archaea Energy Inc. in October 2022. Not long after, BP America completed their acquisiton of Archaea Energy for $4.1 Billion. Some time in the last month or two, retail leasing for MKT switched from Shop Companies to Open Realty Advisors. Compare the tenants for the two companies here: Shop, Open A few days ago I noticed they directory maps were shelled and sure enough they were updated to reflect some of the recent changes in shops at MKT. Of note: Honest Eats closed several months ago after a not. In its place, Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming, a retailer focusing on pet grooming, pet food and supplies with over 200 locations Picnic Supply Co., the window concept adjacent to Highline Park remains listed in the directory map despite not seeming like it has been open over the past several months. Perhaps Picnic Supply Co. is more of a summer concept. Despite the presence of almost 40 retail concepts, there's still a noticeable absence of stores offering fresh food or basic grocery items, such as produce (like apples), pantry staples, or a bakery (for bread).
  17. Good news, TIRZ 27 received $1,364,607 in funding to finish Waugh bike lane from West Dallas to Allen Pkwy. The City of Houston also received $2.5M in funding for project development on putting bicycle facilities on Waugh as it goes over Buffalo Bayou and Memorial Drive. https://www.h-gac.com/getmedia/a7a036cb-c36a-4fa0-bb74-05b8e61057c6/December-15-2023-Transportation-Policy-Council-Item-10. Please urge your councilmember (email districtc@houstontx.gov) to advocate for completing these projects as soon as possible. Like you said, total mileage means nothing if we don't have a connected network.
  18. I just wish we could have both. Like maybe more down-to-earth lunch specials for lunch and high-end at night?
  19. Hoping this restaurant will be more of a cafe / everyday as opposed to very high end
