  1. It's all wrapped, can't see inside. There are orange tags that look like COH health department tags, but they face in. Now that the fences are coming down, I'm gonna try and snoop.
  2. Landscaping starting on the Canal St. side. Balcony rails being installed as well.
  3. Pretty small, I guess that's why I couldn't see it from ground level. No matter, still looks nice. Here is to hoping ArchCon/Marquette folks are reading this forum, saw my post, and posted the pool on their IG. P.S.- if the above is true, please fix McAlpine street <3
  4. Thanks Brooklyn, I was going to explain it, but glad someone else got me first.
  5. Oh, I know. I'm in a condo unit of 8 "townhomes" in a row. Mount it in the middle. Send a message to the world. Purchase aerial rights. Fight the NIMBYers. Dream the dream.
  6. I'm curious if the "Vegas style pool" was scrubbed . I had been watching the construction for ages tying to see some semblance of pool construction to no avail and I imagine they would put it in their insta ads if they had one. But the pool rendering still appears on the website.
  7. Yes it is. They poured it this morning. ETA for landscaping two weeks, per the Archcon guy I talked to.
  8. I would have bought it and stuck it on my roof. History...
  9. I thought it was "Cider + Arcade" since they are a Cider Bar + Arcade and wanted to do something different than Barcade.
  10. Garage is getting a Black paint job today along the McAlpine side. Not sure who thought black would be a good color for concrete in Texas, but alas. Also, I noticed the thread name changed. Shouldn't it be changed to "Forth at Navigation" as that is the building's name? https://www.liveatforth.com/
  11. Cidercade to open this weekend: https://houston.eater.com/2021/1/27/22252385/bishop-cidercade-opening-houston-eado-cider-classic-arcade-games
  12. The Block is getting a new paint job and, more importantly, an absolutely massive amount of kegs have come in.
  13. Looks good! There is also a sort of shop looking thing (maybe where the food trucks will go?) in the back corner of the lot, closer to the existing structure. I saw them putting it together last night. I'll try and grab a picture.
  14. You know, I grew up in Austin, but have no idea how they came up with ATX. I always assumed it was an amalgamation of "Austin" and "Texas" shorthand to make it sound cool, and that's it. I guess "Austin" itself doesn't really sound cool, so they made it shorter a la NYC, LA, CDMX, DFW, etc.
  15. Not to be THAT guy, but their airport code is KAUS, not KATX. But yes, the HTX controversy comes from it looking like Houston is ripping off Austin's nickname.
  16. You're probably right. The shipping containers were taken down today. Looks like they are also bringing in some stones to lay out as a non-grass surface in the lot.
  17. My money is on the latter. The drive in has been packed as if late. I can see it from my living room. Alternatively, I wonder if maybe they are making a bigger screen?
  18. Roostar's plans are approved. Some renderings here (FB link is way too long, as usual, so using a shortener): https://bit.ly/3805Go2
