Looks like whatever is going on here is in full swing. Cidercade seems to have moved over a bit closer to Common Desk while the Canal-facing wall has been opened up and the inside gutted. Cidercade is also closed this week.

Looks to be in line with a kitchen addition.

Yes. I spoke with them about it and they indicated that they would prefer to go the commercial route, but haven't decided what specifically.

If I recall, Marquette bought this building when it was building Forth as "Phase II" of that redevelopment. I'm guessing they don't want a smoldering lead ash (the smell is noticeable) pile on their lot.

Like Hindesky said, GFR is ground Floor Retail. My comment about the church is with regards to the prohibition of alcohol/liquor licenses being issued withing 500ft (if I recall) of a church/school. The GFR on the Navigation side of Forth is about 200ft, max, from the church. Arguably it is well outside 500ft of the school, but it would depend on how the church/school plot is drawn up.

I was under the impression it was purchased by Marquette when they bought the lot that Forth sits on.

Deal is at the finishing line. Will respect both sides request to keep it on the DL, but it's wrapping up. Buyer has been coy about intended use of the land, but given what I know, it's likely townhomes.

New realtor back in the picture for the other GFR option. It dawned on me it must be pretty hard to move due to it's proximity to Our Lady Guadalupe and the restrictions re: sale of alcohol associated with the church/school.

Chinese Star never exchanged Cougar Cash for pitchers of beer and the largest portion of fried rice you've ever seen. No way, not at all.

A bunch of homeless folks broke in and had taken it over. Wouldn't be surprised if that's what started the fire.

There appears to be some movement on this property. Will update soon.

I believe Flying Biscuit will be on the Canal side of those project. I've seen a lot of folks walking in/out of that space, so I presume work is underway.

Seeing those new routes makes me want HKG back. An IAH-SGN would really tickle my fancy. Unfortunately, that's out of range for Vietnam Air's 787 fleet and teeters on the bring of the 350-900's range.

I guess the symbiotic Cidercade/Southside pizza relationship is over. For the best, honestly. Southside is terrible.

Colliers "For Lease" sign is down for the two commercial units. No longer appears online either. Possible both units are leased out or they are switching realtors.
