  1. From what I gather as the most amateur person here is that they now have a permit in the system with their full plans. Those plans will be reviewed by the city for compliance to codes, etc. and if approved, it'll open the door for work to begin -- with additional permits required for each major item (building, plumbing, electrical), of course.
  2. night shift closed due to employee walkout. Comments disabled on Instagram.
  3. Just looked at the JLL site for this out of curiosity and noticed it's listed as "under contract", anyone have any additional info
  4. Plan Review Fee permits in for seven new homes at: 213 Sampson (22019990) 3407 Garrow (22019985)
  5. It's just the midnight show, they have concerts planned into summer: https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/concerts-140769
  6. It was a Nextdoor post saying cop cars, fire trucks and hazardous material vehicles were at the property. Was curious if anyone knew what was up.
  7. The taqueria was the previous owner. Often on WW permits you'll notice the occupant is listed as the former owner while the buyer (or buyer's rep) is listed under "buyer".
  8. I would be OK with an HEB similar to that in Rice Military. Otherwise I'd prefer to keep the commerce/canal concepts clean with walkable retail and multifamily
  9. It looks like there will be a driveway through the first floor to the parking behind
  10. I don't think that's the case. The permit is a plan review fee for a buildout of a kitchen. Southside flying pizza is on the 2200 block, as well.
  11. There's a permit for a "Pizza Bar and Kitchen" at 2320 Canal Street, which shows up as the block. The permit has a buyer listed as "McIntyre Services", who also a permit in for changes at Equal Parts Brewing. Not sure if it's a permit company, or a company that is making changes in the neighborhood.
  12. I'm not sure where the Landry's rumor started, but I have heard from my friends surrounding some of these deals (re: Olshan) that Landry's is not involved. Ancorian developed the Block (2339 Commerce) and it makes sense that they would do this as well given that the block parking lot is being allocated as backup parking for this development. They've also pursued a ton of small and large developments in the EaDo and the East End. https://www.ancorian.com/portfolio
  13. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/texas-sports-nation/astros/article/Astros-Jim-Crane-expansion-Minute-Maid-Park-16596664.php Jim Crane basically said he plans to develop it. Also this, from ballpark digest:
  14. There's a permit in the system to repair this garage. Right now it looks like an abandoned shed. I'm curious if anything will come of this given it's proximity to all of the new development in the area.
  15. Permits in for an "EADO Ice House" at 2615 GULF FWY 77003
