    The Pacesetters Personnel Services (PPS) has closed!!!! It’s all boarded up! Of course we knew this was part of the Rice Development but I’m just so happy to see it finally gone! That has been ground zero for the homeless in the area. Granted, now they are all congregating along the fence. Now all that’s left to be closed is that sketchy MetroPCS/Corner store.

    Was on my balcony last night and forgot to take pix, but the bottom panels (Pool terrace level downward) were lit up and changing colors. I want them to go all the way up. I’ll try to take a pick tonight if they’re illuminated. Didn’t know it was going to have that feature. Really great addition to the skyline. We need a little more light in our skyline nothing too tacky like Vegas but I’m waiting for something like Los Angeles’ Wilshire Grand Central. I circled the ones that were lit up.

    The Texadelphia is closed. Smh. I go to that Kroger ever other day and it NEVER looked like people were there. Shocked it stayed open this long.

    Drove past this place Saturday night and it looked REALLY nice on the inside. (You can see the inside clearly from the street). Lots of cars and valet. Great to see something happening on that corner. Normally full of male prostitutes.

    Didn’t find a topic on this but didn’t think it was worthy of starting a new one so I figured this would be the best place for it. SOBE planning on opening up this Spring. They’re looking for staff. Looks like we’re getting a bit of old gay Montrose back. Just miss Mining and Meteor.

    Dominos Pizza coming to this development. Sign is up. Wings of Houston moved here, too. I wasn’t too sure if they were open or not.

    I know it was mentioned earlier (kind of the only place I know where to post) but we mentioned how the Mexican Consulate was closing, so is the Kings Fuel Chevron Gas station right next to it. They have fences around it.

    I've been looking for this topic for a couple of weeks now! didn't know what to look up until reading the Chelsea Market posts. This space is huge and will have amazing freeway presence. Excited to see this one go up!

    I'm going to have to disagree. I live two blocks from the Fiesta and I shop there about 2-3 times a week. Every time I walk there I see a bunch of homeless and drug dealers on the side of the building near San Jac. and when I drive there and take the Caroline route, they are just posted along the store. Very unpleasant. They are even in there shopping. There's been more times than a few where I've been approached for money while shopping, and of course there's the frequent homeless in line asking for you to pay for their beer. I only shop there for convenience...and i DO mean convenience. I'm extremely excited to see how this project will clean this part of town up. I speak with a lot of people that live near me and we all agree that we'd appreciate a walking our dogs without having to walk over the homeless and being followed and harassed.

    Oh wow! This just made my day. I love coming to this page because it always brightens my day with each added bit of good news. I live in Ventana and this area DESPERATELY needs this development. K & H are the lots that will get rid of majority of the riff raff in the area. Those are the areas they tend to congregate the most.

    I woke up at 6:50am this morning and was really considering going (woulda been maybe a 10 minute walk) but I knew I wouldn’t be one of the first 200 people. I’ll head over after my workout today.

    I honestly thought that gas station/shawarma king location was going to be a Starbucks. To add a little positive energy, if executed properly, this would have great freeway presence. Believe it or not (sans construction) driving down inner loop 288/59 u get the ‘urban’ look you don’t see often from Houston freeways.
