I worked at the movie theater in Post Oak Mall from 1986 - 1990 off and on, so I thought I might clarify the historical record here. It started as a Plitt theater when the mall was built in 1982 (http://www.thefullwiki.org/Post_Oak_Mall). In 1987 or so it changed to Cineplex Odeon, and it remained Cineplex Odeon until the end of the summer of 1990 at least. (Wikipedia has the Plitt/Cineplex Odeon ordering backwards). I have no memory of this theater being a Carmike theater, but it could have happened later. It was a fantastic place to work, with a lot of great, fun people. For big movies, the place would be packed to the gills. I'd be glad to share my many fond memories of this theater, if anyone is interested.
