  1. Oops 😅 Thanks for the info, will do.
  2. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly these aging lots seem to find new development in the Heights. Things move quickly in this neighborhood.
  3. Please don't tell me they are going to leave it like that. Aren't they at least going to put a screen around the garage instead of leaving it open and exposed?
  4. An Alamo Drafthouse downtown would be a game changer. I honestly think if and when they rebuild the Bayou Center downtown, plugging in an Alamo Drafthouse in place of the AMC that is there currently.
  5. Looks like this one is on the way: New W Hotel for downtown Houston moving forward https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/2020/01/17/new-w-hotel-for-downtown-houston-moving-forward/ Vote of 10-3 in favor of the W.
  6. 58 stories? I don't want to get too excited, considering how long this proposal has floated around, but man what a development this would be. It would help close the gap on the skyline between Downtown and the Medical Center. Definitely adding this one to my developments to watch.
  7. Happy this is finally going up. I happened to be in the area a couple weeks ago and had noticed so many other things going up along Durham except for this project. Good to know they are back on track.
  8. Not sure if this should be on this thread, but interesting story. I frequently see this building from the highway: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/transportation/article/Mexican-consulate-moving-to-southwest-Houston-to-14905843.php Seems to indicate that the rebuild is proceeding, despite the backlash: "The land swap, approved Thursday, secures a critical piece of property as the Texas Department of Transportation plans to remake the downtown freeway system as part of a $7 billion-plus rebuild of Interstate 45 from downtown Houston north toward Bush Intercontinental Airport. Part of the plan includes depressing I-69 and remaking the interchanges with I-45 and Texas 288, along with reconnecting area streets. Work on the massive project, which remains controversial in many of the communities affected, is slated to start at the southern end, close to the existing Mexican Consulate."
  9. What does this densification look like or consist of? Allowing someone to develop or build on the parking lot?
  10. We got a chance to check out that view earlier in the year, really awesome spot for any photographers wanting to snag a skyline photo!
  11. Just skimming over the past 3 photos, it seems like little to no progress has been made. Is it just me or has this slowed down considerably? Maybe they are doing internal work?
  12. New Concept Photos Released for the High Speed Rail Stations: https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Newest-Concepts-for-Texas-High-Speed-Rail-Stations-565235412.html
  13. I’m going to say yes. I know that Park Place near River Oaks District is visible and that’s less than 20 stories.
  14. A grocery store and LifeTime Fitness would be a great 1-2 punch.
  15. I'm trying to think if that could work given the space, but absolutely a grocery store on Main Street would be incredible for the area.
  16. I understand the issues brought up in the article, but this project is a major boost for the area. In my mind the positives far outweigh the negatives. It would just be a shame if the project was delayed or the overall vision was stunted because of this.
  17. That store was always empty. I remember walking around downtown when my family was here during the summer and taking a break to cool off inside the store. There was almost no one there other than the employees at the front counter. Isn't the LifeTime Fitness taking over this space as well, or a different section?
  18. So do we have any updated renderings for what will be going up here? As well as a timeline?
