  1. "Another decision this offseason for the Texans is what to do at running back if Domanick Davis is able to return from the knee injury that caused him to miss this season. The early struggles of the offense came when they were left without a proven running back after passing on Reggie Bush in the draft, only to lose Davis. Ron Dayne had the best stretch of his NFL career to end the season and wants to stay in Houston, but the team likely won't keep both him and Davis." http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/HOU/9903708
  2. Broncos letting go Tatum Bell? Wooooo! That would be a blessing in the sky for the Texans, but I can't see that happening. The man rushed 1025 yards in '06, and Broncos thinking about letting him go? I don't think so. I agree that Cato June is kinda soft against the run. I've witness that when Ron Dayne just completely ran over the Colts like a freight train. Clinton Portis? I don't know if he lands here in Houston, even Washington do let him go. He's looking for big bucks, and a starting position. So, I'll say no to Portis. It would be awsome if we get Nate Clements down here. And yes, maybe Eric Moulds could persuade his old teammate, letting him know that the Texans are on the right track and have a chance on going to the playoffs next season. That's a funny statement you've mention about Carr playing for Arena Football. Hey, that doesn't sounds so bad. It will be a shorter field for him.
  3. That's great to hear that Dominick will be back as a Texan. Don't throw him away, give him that same chance that they gave Carr, and that was too many chances. So, pretty much Samkon Gado might get cut and they probably will stick with Lundy, Taylor, Danye and Davis (well Williams now). If that's so, Adrian Peterson may not land here in Houston. They might draft a lineman, or a wide receiver in the first round?
  4. Texans are looking to free up some salary cap, and the best position to start at is quarterback, David Carr. Projections have the Texans anywhere from $10 million to $13 million under the new cap for the 2007 year. Trade Carr for a vertern quarterback, Jake Plummer and draft a rookie quarterback in the 2nd round. Take a runningback in the 1st round. Texans needs this offseason... - quarterback - left tackle - runningback - another play maker linebacker - cornerback - pass rusher - maybe a FS Moreover, the Texans picks for the draft are as follows... - 1st round (8th pick) - 2nd round (7th pick) - 3rd round (9th pick) - 4th round (8th pick) - 5th round (7th pick) - 6th round (9th pick) - 7th round (18th pick) Oh, I almost forgot. Here's the Texans 2007 schedule... This is not the exact order! colts(2) jaguars(2) titans(2) dolphins browns chargers chiefs broncos raiders saints panthers buccaneers falcons.
  5. The Texans won't be drafting a rookie quarterback. Look for one these verterns (Jake Plummer, or Jeff Gracia) to come in this offseason.
  6. I really can't see they building a soccer stadium across from MMP, it will be nothing but horror trying to find a parking spot. But, I can see they building it on the old Astroworld site. I agree. Say NO to a suburban stadium!
  7. No, TJones. Kubiak will not draft a rookie quarterback to teach all over again (like Carr). He will get a vertern quarterback like Jake Plummer, or Jeff Garcia to take lend of this team. I was reading a statement on NFL.com mentioning Jeff Gracia will be a good candidate for the Texans, cause he fit right in the system. Gracia will be UFA after this season.
  8. I've realize what I said before, and got me thinking. The Texans already drafted 2 OL's, so what they need now is more vertern leadership on the offense line. Now, they could draft a rookie wide receiver, because I do think they need another addition at wide out. If they do draft a RB. I would cut Wali Lundy, and Samkon Gado. But, the big question is will Davis be back? If he do make a comeback, Davis and Dayne will be the top RB's follow by another good rookie RB, or a vertern, or then too Texans could make Dayne a 3rd down back. In addition, the Texans needs another right tackle (vertern tackle). An outside linebacker, another pass rusher and a CB. My picks are... Chris Brown, or Micheal Turner(rb) Dwight Feeney(pass rusher) Nate Clements(cb) Leonard Davis, or Mike Gandy(right tackle) Lance Briggs, Na'il Diggs or Cato June (outside linebacker)
  9. Why get another vertern quarterback and they still got Sage? That would be a waste of money. But, I do agree with you on the Texans need to draft OL and DL. In addition, they also need another RB and a CB, cause every game Faggins get's Burnt!
  10. Yes, it was a beautiful excitement for the Texans. I like to say, IT'S ABOUT FREAKIN TIME! Main question is. Can Carr stay consistent for the last final game against the Browns? When they take away the running game. What can Carr do?
  11. Texans offensive coordinator Troy Calhoun was hired today as the new head coach at Air Force.
  12. If the Texans decides to trade Carr, or pay his contract off and get a vertern quarterback. These are the vertern quarterbacks that would fit in Kubiak's system and will be available as free agents... Sage Roenfels - Rosenfels, would be a candidate to replace Carr. Jake Plummer - Plummer and Kubiak had a lot of success together in Denver. Jeff Garica - Garcia would seem to fit the Texans' system better. Tim Rattay - Rattay also would seem to fit the Texans' system. Matt Schaub (?) - It's doubtful the Texans would surrender a high No. 1 pick for Schaub, who has been untested as a regular starter. Now, if they decide to start over and get a rookie quarterback. These are the choices in the 2007 draft... Brady Quinn Troy Smith Kevin Kolb JaMarcus Russell Brad Brohm My prediction for which quarterback the Texans will pick? First, I think they're not going to start over again by getting a rookie quarterback. Kubiak has 2 more years in his contract, and doesn't have time to teach over again like Carr. So, the next step is getting a vertern quarterback to lend this team. I think the Texans going to stick with Sage Rosenfels and sign Jake Plummer, or Jeff Graica.
  13. What I told y'all. The Texans don't have a chance in hell on beating New England. I mean look at the score, 40-7. David Carr has to go! No questions asked. This man SUCKS! If I were Kubiak I'll start the rookie quarterback in these last remaining two games.

  15. I said Cardinals, OR Raiders. But I think he would fit the Raiders better. They in need for a quarterback. I think Texans would go after Brady Quinn, Kevin Kolb, or a vertern Jake Plummer. NOTE: Jake Plummer knows the same system Kubiak installed.
  16. Troy Smith would most likely go to the Cardinals, or Raiders. On the other hand, the Texans would most likely to draft a runningback, instead of a quarterback. Furthermore, they will pay out Carr, or trade him to some other team that's in need for a quarterback. Carr would be a great trade for Jake(the snake) Plummer from Denver. If Texans get's Jake down here, I'll let him battle it out with Sage for the starting quarterback. I'll draft some more offense linemens, and probably get other good wide receiver. They also need better secondary.
  17. It's BYE-BYE CARR!! Kubiak told Carr if you don't beat Titans and at lease a pair of games within these last 4 your service is no longer needed here at this franchise. So, ADIOS! Wish you well at some other franchise.Because I know and y'all know their not going to pull off a win against Tom Brady next week. Shall we say 4-10? Vince Young outplayed Carr, and this his first year. Yea, Carr played pretty good, but not like Vince did. This going to hunt the Texans forever as a franchise. FOREVER YOUNG!
  18. Carr is not the 100% problem, but he's 50% of it. Kubiak also mentions not only Carr on notice, but his teammates as well.
  19. I was wondering. If the Texans got rid of David Carr next year who would take Carr's place? Is there any quarterback's going to be free-agents next year? Do y'all think the Texans will draft a quarterback to start next season, or a veteran?
  20. David Carr is in his 5th year. He has played in over 70+ NFL games. You should not have to teach a five year veteran QB how to protect the ball over and over. A five year QB veteran should know when to run and when to throw it away at least 90% of the time. He should be respected by his team mates enough to be at least elected captain of the team. A five year veteran QB should know to hurry up a team during two minute offenses. He should know how to not stare down receivers and look at the entire field instead. These are just some of the things anyone should reasonably expect a 5th year NFL quarterback to be somewhat good at. But at this time, it appears that Carr is regressing. Yes, he for the first part of the season looked much better. But I see no confidence in his eyes now, especially since he has no real competition with Rosenfels hurt.
  21. I agree with you 100%! At lease somebody see's what I see. During the off-season don't be surprised they cut Carr, and draft a quarterback. I wish we could get Brad Quinn from Norte Dame, but seems like Raiders will get that shot. Furthermore, let's get something straight. I'm not a Cowboy fan, never was and never will be. I rather be a Titan fan, then a Cowboys fan. Hard to realize I'm a Texans fan, and always will be. I may talk bad about them, cause I'm the type of fan that's tired of losing every single year. Some of y'all tells me(Gary) "Shut up, their starting back over with a new coach. Give them a brake." To me it seems like they starting over every year when they step on the field. What's the difference this year? All the games they've won was in a horrible fashion, unbearable to watch. The only two games they played good in was against Jacksonville. I say it before and I say it again. Carr needs to go! When he leaves that's when Texans have a shot at the playoffs.
  22. ^^^ That is so true. Carr longest pass was 9 yards today against Raiders, lol.
  23. Beleive me, you didn't missed nothing. They were horrible. If it wasn't for special team kick returner, Mathis. The score should have been closer. Besides, Raiders had 8 attempts in Texans red zone and got push back by pentiles, and their kicker missed 3 field goals. So, do the math. Raiders should of came away with a victory today, easy.
