  1. That a awsome rendering, DJ. You think Houston will built a mixed-use soccer stadium?
  2. I agree. Katy Mills is a great place to shop. Everytime I go it be jam packed. Plus, you can get things alot cheaper. It would be crazy to close that mall down.
  3. Kubiak on Monday finally will have an opportunity to interview Frank Bush, the former assistant head coach/linebackers of the Arizona Cardinals, who worked with Kubiak in Denver. Also expected to hire Jethro Franklin as a defensive line coach. Franklin formerly was defensive line coach at Tampa Bay Kubiak also plans to interview Larry Kirksey, the assistant head coach/running backs at Middle Tennessee, on Monday. Kirksey is a possible replacement for Kyle Shanahan, who moved from coaching the wide receivers to the quarterbacks. Kirksey was a wide receivers coach in the NFL for nine seasons.
  4. AstroWorld site's transformation surges ahead Group seeks city designation to aid in acreage's development The investment group is planning a mixed-use transit-oriented development for the former theme park land. It would include high-density residential units, offices, shops and a hotel. Part of the plan includes a proposal to reroute the light rail line through the property. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/business/4484877.html
  5. I realize y'all talk mostly on the hotel that will be built in the Astrodome. Let's not only look at the hotel, look at the other tenants. Nightclubs, retail, resturants, a band stage, I've heard too they planning on a movie theater as well. A riverboat that will take you do different desinations. Plus, they going to add a parking garage that will sit semi-circle around the Dome, meaning more parking spaces for people going to the Texans games, or other entertainment proposes. Furthermore, look at the Texans games. After the game people could just walk across to the Dome and have a blast. So, let's not only talk about the hotel industry, because conventions and the hotel just a piece of the puzzle. Talk about wants going to draw people to this entertainment facility in order to stay in those nicely warm expensive rooms. This will be a new desination for people to attend.
  6. Yes, it's Kubiak's Offense. The Offense Coordinator role is to call plays down the field into Kubiak's headphones, and if Kubiak doesn't like the play calling he can always over rule it cause he's the head coach. But, Sherman was calling some of his Green Bay plays last season on the slideline. So, I figure it may remain the same. Sherman and Kubiak going to mix it up with Green Bay's and Broncos play calling.
  7. Texans promote Sherman to offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan moves from receivers coach to quarterbacks coach Great move Kubiak! http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/4477729.html
  8. I know Houston Texans feel like crap. New Orleans just won and going to their first NFC CHAMPIONSHIP! Who would thought that?! Now, Reggie Bush and Billy Miller(former Texans) may get a Super Bowl ring.
  9. McGraw-Hill is not a reliable source. It mention, "Developers of the Houston Pavilions recently announced that groundbreaking on the $200 million, 800,000 sq.-ft. mixed-use project, was scheduled for early November." The groundbreaking suppose to happen November '06, and never came about. So, you could throw away that source.
  10. I went on houstonpavilions.com just awhile ago, and they don't say nothing about groundbreaking. Where you getting your sources from, Pumapayam?
  11. Some rumors have Portis on the trade block and headed back to Denver, while others have him headed to Houston for a reunion with Gary Kubiak. Both of those scenarios would be positive for his value, but a return to Washington might not. I've read this on Fabiano's fantasy mailbag (nfl.com)
  12. The Texans disclosed last week that rookie OLT Charles Spencer
  13. I would love to see Jake Plummer, or Jeff Garcia in a Texans inform. Reason why they bench Plummer and had low stats, becuase the Broncos changed offense corrindator. They wanted a pocket quarterback for the new scheme. Plummer went 10-6, 10-6, and 13-3 when Kubiak was corrindinator.
  14. "There's a sense the Texans, who spent the No. 1 pick on DE Mario Williams and signed DE Anthony Weaver to a lucrative deal last offseason, will nonetheless be looking to address the defensive line early in this April's draft. The Texans could be compelled to draft a defensive tackle on the draft's first day; 2005 first-rounder Travis Johnson has been a major disappointment inside. Also, the team could look to add another pass rusher. Antwan Peek is an unrestricted free agent, and he may not be re-signed." http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insider/new...%3fid%3d2724078
  15. I said that all along that Carr's is the main problem. This man had enough time to throw a football, enough time to run, but David's decision making is waaaay to slow. His vision is not good either, and he's very inconsistant. Oh, yes. He have the arm. But, look at how many quarterbacks in the NFL have a arm like Carr's? Carr is nothing special, and probably never will be. Stop making this man on what he's not! Carr teased us with his lack of inconsistant. One Sunday he's doing like a quarterback should, then next following Sunday he looks like he just got draft all over again. You don't need that type of leader on a team. I said this over and over since last year. When the Texans get's a new quarterback, look for the playoffs.
  16. David Carr is an inconsistant quarterback, and the Texans don't need that under the center. And I wouldn't blame everything on the O-line. Carr had enough time to throw the ball this year, and make plays. It was poor decisions Carr made throughout the entire season. He had time to sramble, but he rather stay in the pocket and get sacked. Carr needs a change of address, just like Jake Plummer when he was playing for Cardinals traded to Denver. Look for Jake Plummer's name this offseason in the newspapers.
  17. NFL report card is in, and they gave Houston Texans a C- for the season. On that same note they mention, wide receiver Andre Johnson sorely needs a more explosive complement than Eric Moulds. With some talent additions in the secondary, the defense should continue to get better. Really, quarterback David Carr is the No. 1 problem. He just didn't get any better as the season progressed. 18. What about this other runningback, Marshawn Lynch (CAL)? Right now he's pick 10 in the 1st round, and he's look pretty damn good. Not only he's a good runner, but he's a good receiver. Maybe Texans need to seek him out? Check out Lynch's highlight video... http://calbears.cstv.com/sports/marshawn/
  19. If I were Texans. I'll draft Kevin Kolb, this man is so underrated and alot of teams is going to overlook him. I'll say grab Kevin place him 2nd string, and get Jake Plummer to lend the offense while he teaches Kevin the system. Most likely if Texans do grab Plummer, they will sign him for a 2 year contract, and that's perfect for a rookie to step in a year or so. For Sage Rosenfels? I don't know. Sage could also lend this team, but it will be up to Kubiak, Rick Smith and Bob McNair to make that call. And IF Washington offered us Portis for the 8th pick. I think I would take it, and cut Williams (davis), or hell keep both of them. Williams will be making $13 million next season they've mention somewhere on a sports website. So if the Texans salary cap is up to par, keep both.
  20. Dayne is a big bruiser type back, DJ. If he became starter, he will get injuried. Look at the second to last game against Colts. He hurt his ankle and Kubiak set him out during the Browns. I say make Dayne 2nd string, going in and out with the 1st string, or a 3rd down back. Question is, will Dominick be healthly? Their not going to keep all 5 backs; Lundy, Williams(better known as Davis), Dayne, Gado and Taylor. One, or two of them have to go. I already know one of them maybe gone, Gado. Now, I was looking at the 2007 Draft order on NFL.com. I see that Washington is in position to grab Adrian Peterson for the 6th pick in the 1st round. If they do, say bye-bye to Portis. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/9901730
  21. "Another decision this offseason for the Texans is what to do at running back if Domanick Davis is able to return from the knee injury that caused him to miss this season. The early struggles of the offense came when they were left without a proven running back after passing on Reggie Bush in the draft, only to lose Davis. Ron Dayne had the best stretch of his NFL career to end the season and wants to stay in Houston, but the team likely won't keep both him and Davis." http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/HOU/9903708
