At one point it was reported to be for a proposed luxury hotel (not the Equinox Hotel going in Phase 2 of ROD).

In the past week or so, Stonelake has put up a sign advertising ground lease and built to suit for the remaining development... not sure if this is any indication of their current plans not going well or if that advertisement isn’t mutually exclusive.

What part of Bobby Huegel screams hooka lounge or tattoo parlor. This is definitely going to become some sort of establishment that compliment's Anvil.

This will enhance the views. They're currently looking at a parking lot to the west (and I don't mean 610) and a vacant lot to the south, where a hotel is proposed.

Come on man... The first thing I see on the website is a list of all the Hispanic merchants, including Caninos. The rendering shows "Caninos" to the right of the "Houston Farmers Market" entrance. Moreover, the website mention Caninos in several places, including this article https://thehoustonfarmersmarket.com/2017/12/houstons-oldest-largest-farmers-market-to-get-major-overhaul/

I'd say no. There's available space between Steak48 and Bisou; between Kiton and Roller Rabbit; two spaces between Baanou and Theory; the corner space where the Cavo pop-up was; and the Malia Mills space is a temporary pop-up.

That sounds exciting. Hopefully they can execute to the level of Hakkasan.

http://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/06-14-18-taverna-pizzeria-and-risotteria-closed-river-oaks-district/ Not surprised that Taverna closed. My guess is a sushi spot opens in its place.

Yes, there was/is a hotel proposed for the corner lot next to the Wilshire. The Equinox hotel, is the proposed hotel going in adjacent to ROD Phase II.

They could make an east-west line starting at PostHTX on Franklin/Washington stopping at/near the Amtrak station and taking Washington (an ideal street for rail) all the way to the TCR station. An alternative or additional route could head north on Yale/Heights/TC Jester then head west on 11th or 18th/20th.

A few months ago a friend, who works at Equinox, and another friend, who works at Stream Realty, both told me that Equinox will be opening their second Houston location here. That should be an indication of the quality of retail they’re seeking and that this project is definitely moving forward.

The Herons Kingwood Marina: 300-Acre Master Planned Mixed-Use Development
LBC2HTX replied to Urbannizer's topic in Going Up!
Exactly my thoughts. This would do better in the woodlands (a marina to nowhere) or Clear lake, Kemah or Galveston. -
The Herons Kingwood Marina: 300-Acre Master Planned Mixed-Use Development

Would be awesome for Kingwood. That side of town is really boring. -
So I know they’re supposed to be opening their new concept “MAD”, but signs on the storefront say “coming soon BCN Taste & Tradition”... Wonder if they changed their mind.

Wow that is an amazing re-design! I remember when I moved back to Houston, and starting working downtown. The first thing I said to myself is "my god, they need to re-do Jones Plaza". My prayers have been answered haha.

There are increasing options elsewhere for the weekday lunch crowd that aren't in an outdated mall-style food court next to outdated retailers. "The shops" needs to be gutted and re-purposed into something that will attract more than just the lunch-crowd. Its proximity to DG and the downtown "retail corridor" on Dallas make it a prime location to integrate both and really tie together that portion of downtown. I know there are 3 food/chef halls opening within the year, but a Indoor/Outdoor concept with greenery, food stalls, and a farmers market would do well here.

Yup I’m hoping they put something fun to the rear of the building (between target) where the current sales office is located. Also hope that the proposed hotel next to the Wilshire gets going soon. There’s a lot of emptines on westcreek at the moment.

Can't see why they'd take B. That's too much space for them. There needs to be an open bar/gastropub concept at B.

Small incremental changes have happened on the park place lot. There was previously a leasing sign posted on the corner of mid lane. That has been taken down and now there is a nicer park place sign on westheimer and another sign on the north west corner, on mid lane. They also repaired the back alley driveway near the rail road tracks. I bet they start construction soon.
