    JV Plans 304-Unit Mid-Rise in Medical Center

    HOUSTON-Two Texas companies have joined forces for the first time to develop the luxury mid-rise Almeda at Old Spanish Trail. Groundbreaking on the first phase, 304 units in the Medical Center, is scheduled to take place in the coming months.

    The project will be situated on a little more than eight acres at the intersection of Almeda Road and Old Spanish Trail. It is being funded through Crow Holdings' Realty Partners IV LP's $850-million fund. Houston-based Simmons Vedder & Co. is the developer. Almeda at Old Spanish Trail is the first ground-up multifamily project for the Dallas-based fund.

    JV Pencils May Start for $80M Second Phase

    KATY, TX-With its first retail phase 60% preleased, Vista Equities Group and its Denver-based partner, Amstar Group, will break ground on an $80-million second phase for LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch. In May, work will start on 160,000 sf of retail and 230 residential units, all planned for completion in fall 2008.

    The development partners are in the process of wrapping up work on the $60-million first phase for LaCenterra, where 170,000 sf of retail and 90,000 sf of office space is delivering at 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd. The 34-acre, 700,000-sf development got under way in late January 2006.

    Well i did some more digging and from a source, which i cant really disclose i was able to gather this information...

    HP will break ground on 02-05-07 and will be completed in time for the holiday season of '08 (approx. Oct.)

    Yeah, I really like this project.

    Can anyone confirm this?

  6. Thx for the comments. Yeah, I saw the lighting this Saturday when we tooks the kids to see the lights at Herman Park. It's got sort of a bluish/purple tint. It's awesome.

    The lights in the park were scaled down this year due to "budget cuts" according to a security guard. It was kind of a bummer.

    Here's a shot of the lights on the new tall building (anyone know the name of it). The shot was too dark but it does show the new lights.

    Something has happened to this site. The photos are not being imaged fully and now it is not downloading all the images.

    Anyone know what's going on? My post on other forums are still working normally.
