They are involved in meetings and seem willing to answer questions to keep things progressing.

The scale of the thing is hard to take seriously, but they are indeed still at it. I do wish them luck. As a reluctant Kingwoodian (I am outvoted in my household), I could probably talk them into moving into a nice condo in this place.

Even their Facebook page is up to date so I suspect this project to be picking up more steam in the near future.  If they can solve the flooding problem then let them build.

It's way too far for spillover from Chinatown.  Besides, there are are still plenty of opportunities for development and redevelopment in the Bellaire Blvd corridor that are more likely to draw development of Asian-oriented businesses.  If anything, the Bellaire Chinatown seems to have reached a critical mass in the past 20 years and has become the premier area for Asian development.

I think Chinatown is moving further SW with the KP plaza development @Beechnut and Beltway.  That area is considered the international district if I'm not mistaken but is too far to spill over to Stafford as previously stated.

For a second I thought this 26 news story, was from an out of town station. If you look under the image of Uptown, Galleria, to the TMC skyline, the caption attributes it to downtown Houston skyline. You'd think they would do better than that.

Alot of new people to Houston think Galleria is downtown and I politely tell them to look further east.

I love the greenery setbacks, but the two phase aspect of the build has me worried that it will be quite some time before we ever see the finished product. When the economy finally tanks, a lot of these projects that still haven't gotten out of the ground will end up getting shelved.

medical field is recession proof.  It'll come up before you know it
