KIngwood is being strangled by its own NIMBYism. It's not 1980 anymore and Kingwood along with the rest of Houston has exploded in population and the infrastructure is sorely lacking.

I wonder if it's still going to be the same development or value engineered down to a strip center...

Looks like they left part of the dealership alone, that lone building in pic two posts up.

It IS in the middle of nowhere. I live in Kingwood and take the beltway to Clear Lake and pass this along the way and it's pretty isolated. It probably won't be in 5-10 years but in the meantime, it's setting is pretty remote.

So I assume the building(s) Uchi, Hue Salon, etc are in are going to stay and be incorporated into new development?
As for the Freed Montrose Library, I hope whoever moves into that space when the library moves restores it because it's a great building and definitely worth saving.

Loosen up a bit. Midtown is taking off. The countdown has started. Give G class a break.
West Timer is correct. The animations and graphics not too mention awkward justified text are distracting and hard to read.

I live in Kingwood...there's no way this is happening. I hope I'm wrong but Kingwood and the people that live there are boring and would never support this.

Too bad it will be next door to that Walgreens.

wont most of that rear of that building be blocked by Hines' new tower?

^ You should have seen what the original design (post oak) looked like. 9/11 forced the developers to scale back dramatically. Was quite impressive.

3.5 mil? that's it? I'll take two

Well, first you have to own something before you go knocking it down. I'm always baffled by posters that think this is sim city
Developers buy property all the time, yes?

What a freaking waste! The existing building is only about 20 or so years old and of all the buildings in that area, the developers knock down a decent 20-storey building. There are countless older trashy 4-5 storey buildings all up and down that street, including the one I work in a few doors up where the elevator is dead every other day. Knock that POS down.

ugh i hadnt noticed that nasty drop-off driveway. so much for using the whole site.
there has to be some way for visitors, cabs, deliveries to come and go.

Is this replacing park with mural on side of adjacent building? Across from Pennzoil?

Of all the crappy apartments knocked down to make way for newer development, sad to see these go. Was actually a very nice property.

there appears to be fairly new townhouses on a portion of this site. are they going to be knocked down?
I don't remember being able to see those apartments in the top left corner, or maybe I'm just having a memory lapse?

"in my opinion??" Yes, how bizzarrely unprofessional.
Randall Davis is unprofessional. 002 Magazine interviewed him a few years ago and one of the questions they asked him was what was his favorite instrument. His response: skin flute

I hope this project (if built), will look closer to the rendering, unlike his other projects. Cosmopolitian came out cheaper looking, a huge disapointment in my book.
agreed. the blank walls are horrible.

Looks like this project is slowly being widdled away into just another bland development.

I am curious what they're going to do about the increased traffic. Brownway (runs behind Firestone and Trulucks) is narrow and Sage is already a parking lot at that intersection.

I have some clothes that are older than Toyota Center and the NRG Stadium and there's already talk about how they need to be replaced?
